Great coffee shop & Gelato place. Indoor & outdoor seating. Clean washrooms
Update: had an okay time this last time. Hopefully had caught on a bad day previously? Still don't appreciate the experience described.
My husband and I booked La Gelaterria for his first book release and our experience working with Elias and his staff was AMAZING! The food and drinks were delicious and our guest had a great time and they loved the place.
The service here is impeccable that’s for starters. Second is the menu, not only is it a vast assortment of interesting drinks - from regular beverages, to coffees, lattes and season cocktails - there’s really a vast assortment of all my favorite things. Sandwiches, all day breakfast and dessert! I honestly couldn’t stop trying things and didn’t even get around to the gelato because I was too busy ordering lattes and sandwiches. I also ordered from them on Uber eats and the food was just as good. Definitely going back
Best coffee shop in Kensington, hands-down. Not only are their coffee drink options creative and deliciously crafted, the Gelato is delicious, and I'm not even a Gelato fan....but they have a few dairy free options, and I do know the espresso ( dairy) Gelato is to die for. Cafe food is imaginative, satisfying, with some healthy options mixed in. The exciting new feature I'm excited to try next are their cocktails! A full array of super creative boozy drinks that aren't overly dessert-esque is their latest enticing offering. The space is really cute and feels airy although it's not huge. This spot is one of the shining stars of Kensington, imo.
It was my first time at La Gelatteria. Our friend Mckenzie invited us and I tried their Cuban sandwich. Oh my goodness. It was delicious. An absolute delightful mixture of flavors with ham, pork, cheese and i asked for no pickles. Then I got a caramel macchiato with a gluten-free brownie to go. It was such a treat. Can't wait to come back again.
I’ve been here a few times and have had a great experience every time. I’ve tried the avocado toast, the affogato, and a few of the flavored lattes, and enjoyed it all!

Update: At first I gave this place a high rating. You can read my reason why below. However, since then, I have stopped by several times and dealt with inattentive employees, coffees that aren’t good, at all, and breakfast food that is cold and flavorless. I don’t get it. What happened? I have been holding off coming back to my review and changing it, thinking it was just an off day. But after the 5th time, I think the writing is in the walls. I actually have decided to stop coming here because I’ve been so disappointed. I really thought this would become a great coffee stop shop, but unfortunately that has changed. Outdated review: Got the Cuban dulce de leche, (I asked if they could make it less sweet than they normally make it) and the bacon egg and avocado sandwich! So good! Loved how the sandwich wasn’t crazy salty, yet still flavorful. The woman who made my coffee made it perfectly! Definitely will come back!
I went for Gelato, and before finishing 1/2 of it I threw it out. The pistachio was the best of the 3 but not anywhere great tasting. The coconut & sea salt had this weird texture that left a residual on your tongue. Almost gummy. If you know good Gelato don't come here.
One of my favorite places to get coffee and eat. Food and drinks always look amazing. Cool atmosphere and *clean* (most important part).

Quaint little Gelato place nestled in a hidden strip mall. Had the pistachio matcha affogato paired with a blueberry bread pudding. Very delightful. Kid friendly and music/atmosphere allows for private conversations without having to raise your voice. If I am ever in the area at night, would definitely drop by to partake of their alcoholic infused beverages.
Great neighborhood spot for coffee and breakfast. I love the breakfast burrito and the espresso drinks are on point. The pistachio latte, Nutella latte, and honey and cardamom latte are all delicious, and the regular lattes and cappuccinos are good as well. They also sell whole beans from Counterculture. Haven't tried the gelato yet but there are so many flavors!
Service was very professional- nice group of folks. Laid back, cool atmosphere with Wi-Fi. The veggie burgers were top rate. Delicious Lattes and Gelato. Park in front to avoid going down the stairs if you park in the back.
I love this place! Their basil scrambled eggs, their fresh waffles, everything is perfectly done. My family wishes we could have their food every day. Their cortadito Cuban coffee, best one I've had north of Miami. <3
Call in order still had me waiting for 5mins for coffee had food ready twice!!
