I love Vigilante. But we had a little hiccup today. My wife order our drinks, a Iced Dirty Chai and a Cafe Mocha. We had to ask after the Chai after 20 minutes after the food and my Mocha showed up. The fans were in full blast so everything was blowing around especially the napkins. It was only 70 degrees and note it wasn't warm inside either. But that better than normal where the music is usually much too loud. This time the music was at a good volume. It was very busy when the missing item issue occurred so it was forgiven and service afterwards was exemplary. The drinks and food were delicious as always, no issues there. A good time all in all.
Coffee tastes awful. The owner purposefully turns off the wifi so his paying customers can leave after he's taken their money. Website is slow. Somehow the one in college park is better.
My fav coffee spot, but I miss the hip-hop/skater vibe it used to have.
What a place! Friendly. Food was perfect. Coffee off the chart fantastic. Great atmosphere. An absolute stop.
Everything I have ever ordered here has been perfect. I am addicted to coffee shops, and I have yet to find one that has anything close to their quality of peanut butter bagel sandwich
How do you spell delicious? I spell it A-C-A-I, just like this bowl. A must have if you’re looking for a wholesome, scrumptious breakfast. The coffee is roasted in-house and is also equally delicious!
Vigilante is my local coffee shop that I visit quite a bit. Although the college park location is closer to me, and very nice, I do prefer the ambiance and location of the Hyattsville location. The coffees and foods are some of the best I've tasted at any coffee shop. I most often order a vanilla latte or cold brew and maybe a bagel with the chive cream cheese - which is just amazing. The lattes balance richness and bitterness perfectly. The bagels aren't cheap, but they're great for an occasional very tasty snack. I've had a croissant as well, which was very big and tasty, although I wished they had warmed it up. I've also had one of their acai bowls, which was very good. Overall the food is wonderful, but it is all quite expensive. In terms of the ambiance, I really love the Hyattsvile location. It can be a little loud, but otherwise there is plenty of seating and I always enjoy going there to get some work done or relax. There is outdoor as well as indoor seating.
Every time I go into Vigilante (which is often) it is packed, and for good reason. It's exactly the sort of local coffee shop that everyone wants to have. I'm pretty sure that my parents now visit from the west coast to go to Vigilante first and see me second. They have great coffee (including a handy subscription for their beans that can be delivered to you on a regular schedule). Also tasty breakfast fare. The GOAT bagel is a particular favorite in my household.
Some reasons I love Vigilante coffee: 1)the vibes are correct. It is cute, there is Wi-Fi, the music is always good but not distracting, lots of natural light, and because they roast their own beans it smells amazing. If they let me, I would sign a lease and move in. 2) where else can you get a bagel AND an açaí bowl??? Sometimes things are a tad inconsistent (the amount of cream cheese on the bagel - not a big deal, but it would be nice to know what to expect), BUT IM STILL MOVING IN.
Great coffee! Dog friendly! Wonderful place to work.
Great coffee experience but slow to serve and always crowded. They do have a lot of seating indoors and out, though. Need more batistas to crank out those orders. I only buy coffee, by the way.
Vigilante is a fun and stylish coffee shop with plenty of seating to spend a couple of hours in hanging out with friends or getting some work done. It is a working coffee roaster so there's a bit of extra noise and activity. My go to is the drip coffee which has a distinctive sour (not bitter) note paired with a cream cheese bagel. When the weather is warm enough you can also sit at the large tables outside.
Best coffee in the DC/Annapolis area. The Flat White is by far my favorite espresso drink they make. Zero foam…and oily! So good. Excellent pastries and quirky-kind service. And the location is super beautiful. Just greatness!
I was rushing back to the airport and was looking for a good coffee spot. Luckily I found Vigilante Coffee on Google maps. Everything else was either Starbucks or some other coffee spot that had poor reviews. It was nice to see a high quality coffee spot in a local neighborhood. It was a really nicely designed and decorated space. They're grinding coffee on the spot to be sold later. There was a really diverse crowd of customers and everyone had a really positive energy there. The staff was friendly and very efficient in getting things done. They had a variety of coffee products for sale. I had a pistachio flavored pastry along with a soy cappuccino. Both were delicious. The coffee had a nice chocolatey aroma to it without adding any extra flavors.
new favorite sunday morning spot 👌 Their seasnonal acai bowl was soooo good. Service was very friendly.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff. Didn’t even kick us out when they closed. Beautiful and tasty açaí bowls.
I always bring my snail and wheel when I come here because their internet is so slow a snail on a hamster wheel goes faster. Their coffee is alright and their food sub par but the inside is pretty good. Also, the owner shuts off the wifi over the weekend so people don't stay too long.
This is the worse coffee shop I have ever visited. The Chai tea and pumpkin bread were terrible! The building is beautiful but the staff are not welcoming or professional! At 3:30 the card machine was not working, we had to pay cash and they did not have any bagels! If you want good coffee and baked goods don’t visit Vigilante!
I love the atmosphere of the place and I always find a variety of coffees from around the world
dude pretended to heat up my pastry. I waited for 5 mins he gave it to me with a facetious smile. wasn't even warm. a little loud if you need to focus on work. NO GO for light workers/children of god/starseeds. you're not wanted here.
