Chill spot, love the atmosphere with coffee beans roasting and mixing behind you. Good but not write-home-about-it latte espresso-wise (I'd give it about 3-4 stars by itself) but the fact that they have raw Colombian sugar (in addition to Splenda) adds a star on general principle. Great person working. Good spot for a quick coffee or to do a little work (chairs are wooden, you wouldn't want to sit here for 12h non-stop).
Great staff, great cold brew!
We ordered boxed coffee for a party and everyone was like, “this is really great coffee, where’s it from!?” It was also cheaper than well-known chain store boxed coffee - and far, far tastier!
I visited this store with great expectations. The employees were friendly, my latte looked and tasted great, and the atmosphere was relaxing. My "Large (16 oz)" latte, however, was the size of a Starbucks "Grande (16 oz)", but priced more than a "Vente (20 oz). Great coffee, but priced way too high.
Drink quality is good and there is nice outdoor seating
I paid my first visit to Vent on an especially cold (19 degrees) February morning. The café has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a very neighborly feeling. The clientele is very diverse and everyone is chill – no is demanding or overflowing with self-importance. The music is pleasant and relaxing, and not too loud. The café has a bar area with outlets which is perfect for working on a laptop for a while, and it features seating in the hallway outside. I look forward to coming here to work remotely, as well as relax with a good novel.
After a morning climbing session next door I usually stop by and get a Matcha Tea Latte and either the salmon and cream cheese or the peanut butter and banana on toast. All are fantastic plus the staff is very nice. Highly recommended!
Maple Latte is fantastic!
Absolutely amazing coffee, atmosphere, and service. We got to enjoy watching coffee being roasted next to our seats and a very warm, cozy hour chatting with drinks and treats. Strongly recommend grabbing a bag of freshly roasted beans to go!
I really love Vent. The baristas make a fantastic macchiato. The Ventilator beans are excellent to make at home. The people are friendly and just a delight to be around. There are a lot of great coffee places nearby (Artifact, Ceremony, etc.) but I keep coming back to Vent anyway.
Sometimes you get a magical bag of beans and I scored here. The Ethiopian was some of the fruitiest juicy I’ve ever had. Very impressed.
Love the coffee. Great open atmosphere.
I stopped at Vent for the first time over the weekend. The barista was super nice and helpful, and they had a lot of yummy treats. I was a little disappointed by the chai latte. Despite making their own chai concentrate in-house, it didn't really hit the mark for me. Even with the addition of cardamom syrup, I didn't get a lot of flavor, and there was no spiciness. In fairness, I was drinking it over ice; next time I would probably order it warm.
Vent has a wonderful menu, with drinks ranging from Chai Tea, Coffee, and more, and food such as sandwiches, cookies and other sweat treats. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful and the mood in the store just has an overall cozy feel. I would highly reccomend this place if you're looking for a quiet coffee shop to work in or just a peaceful place to relax.
Such a nice experience. They have some homemade vegan candies and food. Also, they have oat, almond and macadamia milk, just saying macadamia is my favorite non dairy milk with coffee, and speaking of which the coffee is roasting in front of you. The register guy, Joshua, he was very friendly. If you are looking for some coffee shop besides Starbucks you should give a try in this one. I highly recommend!
The baristas and other staff at Vent are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee drinks are creative and delicious. My favorites so far are their cortado and the Portuguese iced coffee! Definitely a cool coffee stop. 😌
Great place to work and study. There are outlets next to the tables and the staff is super friendly. I got a latte with honey lavender syrup (not shown in picture). The salmon and cream cheese is delicious, would definitely come again!
I worked in coffee for several years, and I've tried most of the coffee shops in the north of downtown. Vent is by far my favorite. I've been coming here a few times a week for the last few weeks because I wake up thinking about having breakfast and starting my work there. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches are very good. I'm quite fond of the employees as well. I would not say that the ambiance or decoration is anything special, but those are not the reasons I visit coffee shops anyways. There aren't many outlets, and their seating is simple and stiff, but it is serviceable for a few hours work on a laptop. All in all, I would recommend Vent to anyone, and I am so glad they survived the strictest bits of the pandemic lockdowns and restrictions.
Really fun coffee shop. The atmosphere and vibe is great, cute, different, and industrial. The music is spectacular. Great place to write a paper, journal, or catch up with friends. The service is excellent. The vegan donuts are amazing. The only thing to note is the benches at the tables are not the most comfortable because they don't have backs, but other then that everything else was amazing! I was feeling brave and hungry so I tried their veggie burger, which as a complete carnivore, it is not something I would usually order, but due to their limited menu and the barista's recommendation, I tried it and it was actually fantastic. The bread they chose was a little thick in proportion to the burger, but the taste was so good.
Enjoyed the coffee. Location is great next to a gym to work out.
