Romantic setting as I sipped chai tea watching the rain fall. Their drinks are of the highest quality and the atmosphere is cozy. I love the local art display.

Always wonderful coffee and fresh homemade local pastries. The pastries go fast though!

Love 44 North Coffee. Been drinking it since the early days of the founders roasting the beans and selling the brew, but the last two years Stoningtons group of baristas has been so off putting. Like my mere existence is annoying them. Not sure what’s the deal. Going to try my luck next time at the deer isle location

Small cute coffee shop. They have a light variety of teas as well as a few coffee options available and pleasant local art on the wall.

Worked as a barista and used 44th North so it was really exciting visiting the actually site! Lovely coffee, people, pastries, environment, and everything else.

Beautiful café, really friendly staff, traditional way of preparing coffee, and a great place to read and draw. I'll be back!

what is the point of this place? They only offer pour over and french press, no espresso and therefor no espresso derived drinks. the 1st day we visited the "pastry" selection was meager, and then non-existent in the afternoon. this morning at 8:30 I went in just for a muffin and they had nothing to offer. Zero. 8:30 on a Saturday morning and there was no espresso and no muffins/pastry...nothing. what is the point of this place?

We drove 50 minutes to get here and were really expecting something great (especially with the line of people inside). I have been to many coffee shops across the country and I've never seen one that offers a coffee experience like this. I expected that every coffee shop would offer lattes and the option for hot or iced, but that was not the case here. I got an aeropress Ethiopian coffee and added oatmilk and simple syrup. It was surprisingly good. However, the French press was extremely hot and tasted awful once it was cool enough to drink. We ended up dumping it out. I just wish I knew what kind of experience this was before we took the drive.

Is this an art gallery, a hip designer clothing store, or a killer coffee shop?! For real for reals though, who do you have designing all your seductive merch and overall ambience because they are slaying it and you should probably up their creative budget 👌🏽 After an incredible weekend kayak-camping across beautiful Maine's islands for my buddy's bachelor party, 44 North was beyond lovely for a hit of quality caffeine and a fantastic selection of beautiful mementos to remember our Maine adventure for years to come. The bachelor, his 2 bros, and I all got matching 44 North leather-patch beanies. Now I'll have to apologize to my girlfriend for not bringing one back for her as well but I'm sure she'll steal mine away anyway. Juanderful execution in everything you do 🤌🏽

New in 2021. I am writing this review July 27 2022. They serve a variety of coffees from small and local coffee roasters, brewed, french press, etc etc. No cappuccino or lattes. They offer fresh croissants, scones and muffins with deliveries daily from three local bakeries. The pastry is delicious, and service very friendly, Go early as they may run out of pastries in the afternoon.

A lovely little coffee shop, right on the coastline! You can tell they mean business as they offer a number of different brewing options - pour over, aeropress, espresso, etc. (be still my heart!) - Great coffee spot, well worth a stop if you've got a good book and nowhere to be!

We spent a few day in Stonington several weeks ago. Stopped in the coffee shop a few times. Once I got the blueberry pop tart. I could not believe how excellent it was! The coffee is wonderful too!😎

Lovely coffee shop with just the right vibes in just the right location with just the right menu. 44 North is synonymous with quality. Great locations in Stonington and Deer Isle.
