Great experience. Always is. These negative reviews are pretentious people that need to find something wrong with a place. It’s down home diner, clean, good food, friendly, and full of sweet people doing their best.

This was the best breakfast I’ve had since arriving in Maine! Be aware. Cash only establishment. Highly recommend.

We love going to Martha's!! The food is outstanding. We both had the crab benedict... so delicious....loaded with succulent crab and the eggs are poached perfectly. Great service, as well.

Loved loved this place! We came here while out on the road for work and I’m so glad we stopped here. Food was excellent and our waitress was sooo nice! Old time booths and 60s music playing, I caught myself singing in the booth.

Been intending to visit this diner but my schedule did not permit until today. I wished I lived in Ellsworth so I could have breakfast there several times each week.

Popular Gem hidden in a strip mall. Well worth the stop. The food is crazy good and filling. Fun, old-timey atmosphere. The staff is stellar. They excel at their job and are joyful. Ample parking. Cash Only.

Quintessential breakfast place. We aren't talking a five star fancy dining experience, we are talking 5 star local breakfast place. Food as you'd expect, prepared as you'd expect, served by waitresses who have the right experience and attitude.

Pretty dang good! Tucked away in Ellsworth, ME is this cozy dinner. Me & my husband arrived around 9am and quickly seated ourselves. Waitress was helpful and quick with drinks. Ordered the 2 eggs with ham and sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich. Both with home fries and homemade bread. Food came out steaming hot and flavorful! Would definitely stop in here again! Don’t let the negative reviews keep you away, we had a great experience!

The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed. This is a breakfast and lunch place. One thing to remember is, to stop by the ATM before going because it is a cash only place.

Bit of a confusing and frustrating experience. Place was a little busy, but there were a few open tables. All three of the servers kept intentionally ignoring my wife and I for about 10 minutes (literally walking past us multiple times, giving us glances but not ever returning smiles or even saying "we'll be with you in a few minutes"). We finally seated ourselves after another couple walked in and was greeted immediately and offered a table. There were two additional, subsequent groups of people that were greeted enthusiastically and seated, as well as given menus and silverware. We waited an additional 10 minutes at a dirty table, without ever being handed menus or even being greeted/directly acknowledged. If the staff was simply busy, I'd understand. That's no problem. But greeting, seating, and serving three groups of people after we walked in, while simultaneously ignoring us, is something I've never experienced at a restaurant anywhere in the country. Truly 1 star service and truly disappointing. On the other hand, we went to a different cafe just over a mile down the road, and had a much better experience: they were just as busy as Martha's, but we were greeted with a smile and seated within sixty seconds. Food and service was great, and the cafe was everything we were hoping Martha's Diner would have been.
