I would give zero star if I could. The restaurant had us waited for over 1.5 h for a Benedict and Omelett. There was no prior warning no proper apology and no gesture whatsoever. The waitress comes every 15 minutes to tell us the food is coming up yet we waited for almost 2 hours starved and frozen in the wind. We would not sit down and order had they told us how long the wait is or would’ve left for another person place had the waitress been honest about the estimated wait. Instead we wasted a whole morning there and felt sick after sitting in cold weather with no food.

Very good! The corned beef hash was out of this world: one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned. We also got the cats paw, and the salmon benedict, both of which involved biscuits: both of the biscuits were either overdone or microwaved because the texture was really off: they were hard and crunchy: the VERY center was soft initially but became hard pretty soon after our meal arrived. We ended up finishing everything except the biscuits because they were barely palatable. The home fries had great herbal seasoning but was under salted. Love that they use fresh ingredients and the servers were so friendly and accommodating. We were seated immediately and served quickly! We would definitely go back, but avoid the biscuits!

Service and food are perfect. I had omelette with mushroom, boursin cheese, and scallion. 👌

Lobster omelette is great, just a little of expensive, one is $28. But still highly recommend for this great brunch.

Here's how good the food and menu selections are at 2 cats - On our recent trip there we had to eat all 4 breakfasts there to make sure we didn't miss any of the yumminess. Omelets of your dreams - Highly Recommend!

We got the traditional eggs benedict and gluten-free pancakes. The eggs benedict was great! I was told they were very delicious and the homefries were just the right amount of spicy. The gluten free pancakes were not good. The gluten free pancakes had a dry, almost cornbread texture and were not saved by butter or syrup. That was a letdown. But the staff were super friendly and the atmosphere of the place is fun (love the cat prints on the table). Would come back, but would definitely try something different than the gluten free pancakes.

Very pretty space, nice staff, good and somewhat unique food options (I had strawberry/raspberry and almond pancakes, never seen that before). Downside is inside dining is fairly small cramped tables and the wait. Prices aren't great but not that high for Bar Harbor area

Food was delicious, but our stomachs hurt so much after an hour and we waited 20 minutes outside in cold to be seated.

Everything was delicious 😋. Our Omlette and pancakes were generous portions, too. I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

We did not have a good experience. We ordered veggie eggs benedict. We got two hard boiled eggs with two strips of red pepper and two wilted spinach leaves on something they called a biscuit. The biscuit tasted like stale crumbs. It must have been little more than flour and lard. The home fries were really greasy. They advertised strawberry butter but we didn't see it. We left most of the meal and basically paid $40 for 4 hard boiled eggs. The server was fine. She did her job well, but can't control what comes out of the kitchen. The atmosphere was nothing special. They had napkins stuffed under the table legs to keep the table from rocking. The chairs were wooden planks that looked like they picked them up off the curb. I'm kind of skinny so they hurt my back and butt.

Run, don't walk away from the 2 cats restaurant. We walked in and there was one other person in the restaurant. The manager directed the hostess to seat us in a crowded little table right next to the other patron. We ordered an eggs benedict that came with biscuits that were so stale that we couldn't even cut them. The eggs were overcooked. They described the meal as spinach and egg over a biscuit . Technically they gave it to us if you count the one raw spinach leaf under each egg. The only thing good about the place was that the waitress was nice. Several times while we were there we heard the manager yelling at the staff. It cost us $40 plus a tip for a barely edible meal. On the way out I told the waitress that we tipped her well because we understood that it wasn't her fault and I suggested she try to find a better place to work. this place was horrible.

Had the tofu scramble and it was amazing. Second time here and had great service both times. There is usually a few minute wait because it is a popular spot, but I have not had to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes both times I was here.

I’ve been coming here anytime I visit Bar Harbor for the past decade, it was much better being here not in the summer but they were still pretty busy! Love their pepper sauce and their Benedicts. This time we got the salmon Benedict & raspberry almond pancake. They were out of their home fries but then the server managed to get us the very last bits which was much appreciated!

In the “quiet” part of Bar Harbor. Outdoor seating is plentiful and appealing. They put out little bowls of sugar water to keep the bees/wasps from bothering the customers. Clever. Also shows the restaurants dedication to providing its customers a good visit. Menu was interesting. Got the trout omelet cause I cant get that back home. It was not a disappointment. Lunch companion got scrambled eggs with spicy sausage. Eggs were done properly -the French way. Slightly underdone and moist. Fluffy. Not the hard, dry dense yellow nuggets you get at buffets and bad diners. I give 4.5 stars because I had a good meal, friendly service, nice ambience at a reasonable price (actually cheap for Bar Harbor). But you cant give 4.5 stars so heres 5 stars

Great breakfast and extremely nice staff! Breakfast classics executed fabulously, from fresh-squeezed orange juice to perfectly cooked eggs and breakfast potatoes. The biscuits with strawberry butter were absolutely divine, a must try!

2 Cats is a delight. Not only was the atmosphere cozy and welcoming, the food was excellent and the staff was so kind and accommodating! Their biscuits are so good that we asked them for the recipe. The chef said no (we completely understood, these are trade secrets) but our waitress boxed up two of them for the road for us, completely free! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bar Harbor.

Two stars for 2 Cats. When we were seated, our party of five was sat at a table for four despite there being an open table for five right next to us. The floors were very dirty, so they are clearly not cleaning fully in between guests. I ended up getting food stuck to the bottom of my shoes. When our server finally arrived she said “I’m here,” without and introduction. Placed our order. Food arrived in a good time. I ordered a Benedict and it was very good. Another guest in my party ordered the pancakes, and they were not mixed enough and there were many pockets of flour. Gross. I understand places are short staffed, but I would rather wait longer for a clean eating area and properly prepared food.

Great breakfast spot before hiking in Acadia! I had the Summer Scramble, which had tomatoes, fresh herbs, and feta. It came with spicy homefries that weren't actually spicy and a homemade biscuit with strawberry butter. The whole meal was delicious and so satisfying.
