Great vibes, great staff, great coffee. The wooly rhino 🦣 frozen drink was sooo refreshing. Dog friendly.
Really want to leave a better review because the food and coffee are good. But the staff is always so rude and lacking customer service. Never have a good experience with the staff here. Really need to encourage better customer service.
Okay. Didn't try the coffees and they may be wonderful. We went for lunch and probably a mistake on our part to go to lunch at a coffee place. I had the chicken salad, which has good flavor but was so runny that could be considered watery. I like a firmer consistency in my chicken salad. Outdoor seating area needs help. Tables wobbly until we fixed ours. Not enough chairs and one area had two garden hoses under the table/chair taking that seating spot out of use. Is it that hard to roll up the hoses after watering the flowers? Inside similar. Just a bit messy in the seating area like the employees aren't taking the time to make it look warm and inviting.
Nice place. Nice people. Good drinks. Good location. Free wi-fi (and they don't play games). *I asked the cashier for something sweet and highly caffeinated. This thing is disgusting. Hard to drink. And, an hour later, I am yawning 😴 🙄
Great place downtown for a cup of coffee
I want to like this place, but I wouldn’t come again if the location wasn’t so convenient. I’ve visited twice, and, while the coffee was good, the customer service was very bad both times. The first time, I ordered a few drinks while the place wasn’t crowded, gave my name, and sat down directly in front of the barista who took my order. She said it’d take a bit because of some issue, I said no problem and sat for 20 minutes. When I finally came back up to ask if it was ready, they said my drinks had been sitting for 10 minutes. They never called my name even though I was literally right there with few other customers in the store. The second time, I called ahead and asked if they do larger to-go coffee boxes, like Dunkin’s “box-o-Joe,” to which the man on the other line sort of hemmed and hawed in response, asking, “Do you mean, like, a catering order?” I said, “Well, I don’t know, if I just want one box is that a catering order?” To which he replied, in a tone that implied I was seriously imposing, “Well, we typically require a call-ahead for that sort of thing.” This was his response to me… as I was calling ahead. I said yup, that’s why I’m calling ahead, and after oscillating a bit more he eventually relented and took the order. He was so rude again when I picked it up! I was so friendly to him in both interactions!! The coffee was expensive and didn’t come with cream (which I specifically asked about before placing the order), and he made me feel the whole time like I was personally imposing upon him, as though my order was unreasonable and a huge inconvenience. I recommend the business owner find out who the gentleman taking phone orders the morning of 5/3/23 was and have a serious conversation about how to keep customers. I can’t be the only one he’s pushed away. It’s frustrating, this place has great potential, but with service like this I’d never recommend it. I always try to shop independent rather than going to chains, but I’ll go out of my way to a chai
The energy bites are so addictive! Ridiculous price, but I would sell my left kidney just to by another one if I couldn't come up with the money.
Great coffee. Just wish they had their signature drinks in a dairy free option as well. I paid double what they normally charge to get one made similar but with oat milk. It was fantastic though and comparable price to Starbucks even for the more expensive drink.
Had a coffee around 3pm. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Free wifi. I did not have food so can't rate it.
Food and service was good, quiet place and everyone was respectful. But you will probably always be stopped by someone outside asking for money
First, close at 6pm, no where in thr world, second, service was not friendly, finally I was not allowed to take the rest of my drink with me?
No bienets-2*, no whip cream, really? yall do understand $6 coffee without the extras is NOT a $6 coffee?!? No menu at the counter... leave and go stand in the corner over yonder til you decide what you want then come see us and we'll let you know if it is availabke... meh... see 6$ comment above.
Slowest service ever. I am from Seattle and I have never had to wait this long for an espresso shot. Plus there is no one in here. Omg get it together
My boss and I stopped here on a road trip. She had been a couple times before and said, “you can drive thru Shreveport without stopping at this local place!” She was correct!! It’s located in the beautiful old downtown area. The place was clean and inviting. Excellent grade coffee. We also enjoyed our foods and treats. Wish we had one closer to home. I have already recommended the place to others and will be back again!!
Rhino Coffee was a decent, pleasant place. My flavored latte was okay. I asked for an iced coffee but I got a cold brew, which is a huge difference in terms of caffeine intensity, which was disappointing. The baristas were nice.
Understanding your customer is key. I was disappointed because what I received was so far from what I wanted. I was proposed a limited option due to the water boil advisory, however saw other guests with the same drink I wanted. 5.45 for Circle K coffee is a bit much. The staff was nice and it was fun to watch it being made, however I would have spent my money more wisely had I been given the full array of choices.
I'm the type of guy that loves trying new places to eat, and rarely do you find such a place that is as peaceful, laid back and yet the center of commerce. Edit: I'd ont usually leave reviews except when a place deserves the positive recognition. With that said, I come by this place on the way to work pretty often, even though it's a little out of the way. The service is always good. I dont expect bubbly betty when dealing with food industry. I used to work in it and know the challenges. I usually dont say anything with slight mistakes or what not gor the same reason. No biggie, I'm usually in a rush and don't have time to turn around. However, the past fiew, probably ten times I have been here, the top half of my bagel(sub wheat bagel for rhino biscuit) is like a hockey puck. Today drew my final straw, not only was the top half like a rock, neither of my sandwiches had eggs. Gotta do better.
Poor service, generally unfriendly compared to other location. Coffee very poorly made. Little to no effort put into the drinks. Original location much better.
Extremely disappointed, the carrot cake muffin was very greasy and left me with heart burn. The coffee I got was an iced lightning and maybe it's called this because people leave lightning fast lol. They were out of stock of seasonal items and it wasn't really praise worthy unfortunately but the employees were nice enough to listen and offer a refund but we considered it a donation towards a small business.
This was one of the nicest coffee shops I've visited. I ordered "The Eastsider" (mocha latte with vanilla and cinnamon), and it was delicious! I will definitely visit Rhino coffee again!
