Stopped for lunch today while in Opelousas, and the food was delicious. The staff was very sweet and personable and they had several regulars visit while I was in there. Definitely will be visiting again when I'm in Downtown Opelousas.
The food was delicious. I had the Elvis Presley sandwich and my wife had the Frank Sinatra sandwich. The host is very charming and has some interesting stories to tell.
Enjoyable atmosphere…everything on the menu is delicious! Miss Wanda the owner is very gracious and great about accommodating special dietary requests…the chocolate pecan pie is incredible!
Best salads in Opelousas and surrounding areas, with such friendly owners. If you like olives in your salad, The Untouchables is well, untouchable! If you like shrimp try the Tony Chachere on thier famous bread, you won't find that flavor anywhere else.
Go here if you have the eyes and taste buds of an 80 year old. The place is dusty and covered in cobwebs, not to mention the cockroach we saw running across the floor. The food was flavorless and despite them not being busy, they didn't know who ordered what. The bathroom was not just cluttered, the clutter was covered in a layer of dust, including the bleach bottles littering the floor. They obviously don't use them often.
Tablecloth sticky and had crumbs from previous diner. Server was wearing a stained sweater .. though very friendly. Food was mediocre. So much dressing in my sandwich that the salad was falling out.

Since I've Found This Place I've Been Obsessed With Their Food! It's Such A Gem ! I'd Recommend The Edwin Edwards Broccoli and Swiss soup & The Untouchables Salad, But Literally Whatever You Choose To Get, Will Be Amazing ! The Owner & The Cook Are So Sweet And Welcoming !

Not really setup as a restaurant.
The food is really good. The decor and atmosphere are unsurpassed in my book. Service? They knocked it out of the park a real jewel. I'll definitely return in the future and recommend Back In Time to friends an family alike. Thank y'all. And our first date will be that much more memorable.

I love this cafe. Ms Wanda goes above and beyond making sure her food is fresh in impeccably prepared. The staff are wonderful and friendly. It's not a quick pick something up kind of place, but the experience is calming, and the decor will take you "back in time". Besides if you're in a hurry, just call ahead and give them a few before you drive by💖
This place not only has great sandwiches but brings back in time when the world was a more simpler place. Go and support this local business!
