Wanted outdoor seating but they did bit have a server for the section. The food however, was good and the coffee was delish
Pros: The food was amazing, the cost was good and the mimosas were on point! Out waiter was very amicable and food service was not too long. Cons: The place is open half day and it is a 45 min wait typically. Upon arriving, after waiting 45mins we were told that the wait extended another 20mins. Luckily we were seated promptly.
It’s pretty good. The drinks were solid. The bourbon pecan pancakes were insanely sweet. Like I now have diabetes, sweet. The chorizo scramble was good. Tho the tortillas were microwaved(?) so it had that really tough texture and was hard to rip apart. I wouldn’t say no to going here if a friend wanted to go, but I wouldn’t seek it out.
Horrible service in Lafayette La. I will never eat at another broken egg again . They refused to serve my friend and I because of the shade of our skin.
Service was horrible Wait time absolutely ridiculous waited 2hrs to be seated horrible experience from outta town.
This was our first time trying Another Broken Egg. And while we got to a table faster than anticipated, the wait for the food to arrive was a little long. They were pretty full, so it's to be expected. Tried the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes with scrambled eggs and pan sausage. The flavor combination was yummy: sweet, tart and creamy. I would've liked a little more goat cheese, however. The pancake itself, was a little tougher than I usually like, but I chuck it up to an off day. The eggs were delicious and the grits were tasty, too. Will reserve a spot ahead of time, next time and try the Apple Fritter french toast. Overall, it was nice.
Half a star should be an option. I have been to several Another Broken Egg establishments in the south and have had excellent experiences, but this location disappointed me. My husband and I brought his parents here to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The wait time was not strenuous, and the initial atmosphere was pleasant. Our waitress was very nice and polite. We received our meals and began eating, however mine was cold. I reached out to our waitress to explain the situation and she sent it back to the kitchen to be prepared once again. After about 20 minutes, she returns with my plate. Once again, my food is cold. I ask to speak with a manager to see what can be done. The manager arrived to our table and I explained my frustrations. The manager said that I was “a lie,” stating that she was right beside the cook when they remade my plate of food so there was no possible way my food could be cold. I didn’t want to argue or create a scene, especially in front of my in laws, so I simply asked the manager her name. She said in the nastiest tone, “Sarah, with an H. Just like you” and then she walked off. Our waitress apologized numerous times for her manager’s behavior, but she shouldn’t have needed to. Hopefully, this review reaches the correct management because customers shouldn’t have to feel like they are begging for a hot meal that they’re already paying for.
Our waitress was exceptional. The food was good. Service was faster than I expected.
I had the hashbrown benedict breakfast. It was delicious. You get two hashbrown and poached egg towers with grits on the side. I had city grits, which has bacon and gouda mixed in. All of this was delicious. Coffee is bottomless and served consistently by a friendly and efficient waiter. US portions are generally to big for me, but I guess they are even big by US standards.
The people at the host stand are condescending and also we were told the wait was an hour long, then we came back and were told it was another 40 minutes. Once we were sat, it took so long for our waitress to come out that someone else offered to get us drinks and go find her. Then, they brought out drinks that were spilling everywhere and while my food was fine, the other plate was so over cooked it was borderline inedible. $60 for two people, not too expensive but I’ve never had good service here so it’s hard to justify spending the money.
Edit 2023- they seem to be having an issue handling to go orders. 4/16/2023- we have been here 30 minutes and the staff is short handed and confused. If you can’t handle taking to go orders, stop accepting them. I am beyond disappointed! Both the food and the staff here are amazing!!! We love grabbing brunch here!
the food was yummy very busy … the waffle was outstanding
I’ve patronized this restaurant before but not this location. The bourbon covered pancakes I sent back were dry and slightly burned on the bottom. The city grits tasted like they had been sitting for a while and finally my Mardi Gras omelette eggs were over cooked AFTER I prepped the waitress. I did tip the waitress over 20% because of her professionalism and pleasant disposition. #greatSeeviceTerribleFood
My first time there just loved everything about this place table's are not to far away from each other and you have your table privacy no one stares at you is what I like too.
Always a great place for brunch. We usually order the Lobster and Brie Omelette, and the Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast. The Southwestern Chop salad is also very good
Very friendly waiter for such an early time. Food tastes very fresh. Service is quite quick.
Not impressed. Last Saturday being my second visit there and my last. The Belgium waffles were served cold without syrup or butter. I had to wait 5 minutes for the condiments and to be offered new waffles. NO THANK YOU. The server Taylor (I think was her name) unapologetically offered those new waffles of which I refused. Then she decided I didn’t exist at the table anymore and only addressed the party I was dining with. I decided to sit quietly and eat my cold bacon and Edith for the other cup of hot water she offered when she took my drink order and brought me only 1 tea bag when she said I get two. I’m cool on this place.
It was very busy, even at 9:30am on a Thursday, plus they were short staffed. It took 20 minutes to be seated, and another 20 for the food to arrive. The omelet was already cold, but still good. The English muffin was burnt. I'm sure the food is great on a good day! Nice outdoor seating in the shade.
Some of the best food around here! Service is outstanding & menu had so many things to choose from!
Excellent! Great food, reasonably priced...and beautifully plated. The service was superb. Second visit. They rely too much on technology to seat you. We were 16th in line, with many tables open but ... nope you have to wait. So we left.
