I come here quite often, it's just wonderful. Food is some of the best I've had, the rotating specials are great and a good way to keep things fresh and exciting. You could eat here everyday and try something new if you wanted. Staff is super polite and welcoming. Some dishes can be on the pricier side, but it's worth it. Dawg I'd fight wars over this food.
Never have I eaten Brussels sprouts with such an amazing taste, I am new to getting salads and I was worried that it wouldn’t fill me up but I am happy to say that I was wrong it completely filled me. My wife got the Turkey burger which I tried a bite of and was impressed by that also. Our server/bartender was really professional and well informed about all our questions. Definitely worth the stop for lunch.

For the LOVE of Brussel sprouts, they were the best I've ever had. The gouda burger was perfect. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. The food here is fantastic!!
Everything was fantastic! The bacon Jam burger......One of the best burgers I have ever had! and the fries were awesome. Will be back!

Food is great
It was my first time recently at 531 Liberty Cafe and I definitely plan on going back. The food is off the hook and is a terrific place to get away from the endless supply of deep-fried food restaurants in the area. The staff is friendly and on top of it. The meal was simple and elegant. If you get a salad, make sure you try the jalapeno vinegarette.
This place an amazing lunch break spot during work and also an amazing takeout spot when I failed to prepare dinner ahead of time during my work days... Yes, I have done lunch and dinner in one day from Liberty Cafe 😬
Very limited parking and eating space inside, but the flavor of the food makes up for it! I ordered the bacon jam burger and chicken pesto flatbread. Both were very delicious, and I love how neither dish was too salty or bland. They were both just right! Portions are also decently sized for the price you’ll pay, and I cannot wait to return to try more from the menu! Service was also great, and I enjoyed my time at this cafe! Keep up the great work!!

By happenstance, my husband and I ended up in Houma for the night needing a date night worthy meal and place to stay. We hit the internet and after reading many menus, we decided on 531 Liberty Cafe. Holy. Smokes. We loved everything from the moment we walked in. The cocktails were on point, made by our wonderfully charismatic server Shelby, and every bite of food we ate was excellent. Hats off to the chef. I’ve had 65 Turkey burgers in my life but none better than the one I had here tonight. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Lucky for us, the next time we are in Houma, we won’t need to research date night worthy restaurants. We’ll drive directly to 531 Liberty Cafe.
I love this place! Every time I come the food has been exceptional! My favorites are the grits and the fried green tomato poboy. I could eat it every day. I highly recommend.

Excellent food and service
Ordered French greyhound drink…very good-like martini with vodka. Salmon smoked, shrimp egg rolls and green tomatoes with shrimp, service excellent. Parking adequate. About 15 tables. Food is excellent. Definitely a repeat.
The tuna tacos are to die for! Chicken pot pie was very good! The tomato basil soup was excellent!
The food was so amazing!!! Everything we ordered was great! I strongly recommend getting the duck empanadas! It’s a must every time we go! It’s a very laid back environment, and a great family place… very kid friendly with a kids menu and coloring sheets!
After coming to Houma for nearly 3 years every other week this is my restaurant of choice. They are fresh, they are quick, and they are very consistent in quality! I can always count on there being a different meal every week if I ever get tired of the same thing! Great job guys and the renovations look great from Ida!
