I love this place.
The best chicken and shrimp in the state
Absolutely amazing. Chef Charles and I enjoyed everything.
I love their shrimp and fish
Best fried chicken in Louisiana
This is a Black Own Restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. Customer Service is great and with a family atmosphere.
If you haven't tried Brown's Cafe you should. It's a little whole in the wall place but they have some really tasty food. Your food is prepared when you order, so no food that sits out all day. It's off the beaten path so use your gps to locate it
This place has been around since I was a kid & I'm going to assume that the grandkids are running this place because the older BROWN'S ARE NOT BEHIND THIS. I WALK IN IT'S RAP MUSIC PLAYING CURSING AND ETC. BUT WE ARE GROWN HEY BUT WHEN I HAVE MY KIDS WITH ME TO GO I'M AN ESTABLISHMENT THEY DON'T NEED TO HEAR THIS. I CALLED my order in 20 minutes before going there soon was expecting it to be done. It wasn't an older guy came in and asked did everyone get taken care of and proceeded to tell them what's taking so long because the lobby should've been clear. The other lady there said I been here for 25 minutes how long does chicken take to cook. THE older guy assured her he's going to make sure the food will be done. I got my food and was on my way to work. Tearing them shrimps up and I get all the way to work enjoyed my food and it's time for the cake. And the cake was Stale. I was mad.
The food here is very good.
The food was good but you get less than what you pay for
Great food, friendly service.
A local legendary eat spot for towns people that I been enjoying for almost 3 decades. Everything is fresh, cook to order and they give full portion pieces fried to perfection from their family recipe. Best chicken ever
Chicken was really good but was a bit overpriced. The shrimp and fish box was really good and that felt more fairly priced.
Stoped by throw the years consistently good food and nice people we like
This place is a bit pricey. Chicken ($13-8pc) was seasoned well, far as best chicken ever (I wouldn't say that). The Jambalaya ($7-2scoops of rice) was just okay and potatoe salad was a bit too sweet for MY taste buds, but everything was fresh and hot.
Brown's cafe is pillow in eatery in community their an serving others I love going their because it reminds of the joint that up to Road from my grandmother's house we could go in there as children get us a little piece of candy watched some of the community guys play pool no one bothered the children everybody was happy laughing and talkin brown's remind me of the old days when we was younger you know a comfort zone that you can go to and you can relax and feel love that's what I love about Brown's Cafe it was established in 1951 in the name speaks for itself it's a good place to go eat you know due to the Covid restrictions you can't go in but you can go in their order your food but still it's a very very good place to grab hot homemade meal...
Food is great but the customer service is horrible
The chicken was off the chain
Excellent food, call ahead its quicker....just one man's opinion 😋
My boyfriend and I went to visit my cousin and her husband in Addis from Baton Rouge. They ordered dinner for us from Brown’s. I was not prepared for that deliciousness! The fried fish and Jambalaya was to die for. I’m very critical of Jambalaya because I grew up partially in Opelousas so I’ve learned to make authentic Jambalaya from scratch. Saying that I was pleased would be an understatement. My boyfriend and I haven’t stopped talking about this place since we had it. We will definitely be taking a ride there this weekend. This place is awesome. 😎
