Love this place! The coffee was an absolute treat, we had a single origin espresso (onyx coffee Colombia Aponte) and an extremely well made oat cortado. To top it off, the people behind the bar were really very friendly, helped us curate our New Orleans coffee tour and even shared a map with the city's best shops. Thanks Dillon, I'll be back when I can! 🤜💥🤛

The cappuccino was the BEST cup of coffee I’ve ever had and we have had a lot of coffee from many different places. The food is also great and the staff is friendly. They will bring your order to your table (maybe only if they aren’t busy). I highly recommend this place. My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sunday.

Very good coffee served in this little shop in the city center. Few sweet options available. Staff is nice.

Simple but fantastic menu, downtown has needed this place for years! I never considered myself to be a coffee person, and usually I opt for a sweet milkshake like coffee. But the coffee here is so good that I don't need all the extras! The staff was very friendly and helpful and my pastry was delicious. Now I'm sad I don't work downtown anymore

On a day of exploration in Baton Rouge, we made a late in the day coffee stop at Social Coffee, and boy does it live up to its name! The owner was manning the shop, and he was the warmest and friendliest barista I have met in my four months of coffee shops across 5 states! He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the coffee roasts that he sources and recommended the Ethiopian Anaerobic espresso for my cappuccino. It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!! It was robust and fruity and just perfect ! My only regret was ordering to go and not in a regular cup. In short, this was the best overall coffee experience in the south!

Attention all coffee lovers! If you're looking for the best espresso in town, look no further than this incredible coffee shop! I cannot rave enough about the amazing coffee and unparalleled service you'll receive here. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help you navigate their extensive coffee menu. And let me tell you, this menu is not to be missed! They offer an impressive selection of espresso-based drinks that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. But let's talk about the star of the show here: the espresso. This coffee shop takes their espresso seriously and it shows in every single shot. The coffee is expertly crafted by highly skilled baristas who know just how to create the perfect crema on top of each shot. The result is a rich, smooth and velvety espresso that will make your taste buds sing. And if you're looking for something a little different, their signature drinks are also top-notch. I highly recommend trying their cortado or cap - both are made with the same high-quality espresso, and the latte art is simply stunning! But it's not just the coffee that makes this place so special - it's the atmosphere too. The coffee shop has a warm and welcoming vibe that will make you feel right at home. Whether you're catching up with friends or need a quiet spot to work, this coffee shop has got you covered. So, if you're a coffee lover looking for the best espresso in town, make sure to pay this coffee shop a visit. You won't be disappointed!

I have never in my life had coffee as spectacular is this. I travel all around the country for work, and one of my favorite parts is the amazing specialty coffee I come across. As soon as I walked into Social Coffee, I knew something was different. The baristas were engaged as soon as I walked into the building. They entertained every question I asked and also asked questions in return. I only had enough time to sit for 15 minutes or so, but in those 15 minutes, I had the best cup of coffee I’d ever had and also the most wonderful conversation with two people who truly wanted to engage in conversation with me and wanted to hear what I had to say. There are so many other shops in Baton Rouge that have more reviews and see more traffic. I tried them all and even stayed longer at most of the other shops, but Social Coffee wanted to know who I was and also served me a cup of coffee that was engineered with the same care that they gave me as a person. I am blown away and cannot wait to be back

This is a local gem. The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He's super knowledgeable about his craft and very consciousness of where he sources his coffee. I've always enjoyed the coffee, drinks and am excited to start trying the new food options!

If you're not going to Social you're doing it wrong. Every time I come here I am greeted with warmth and kindness from the staff. The chai is the best in town, and their new food menu is delicious.

Best coffee in Baton Rouge hands down! Dillon champions the idea that coffee is an art form and should be crafted as so. Can be considered on the pricey side but considering the quality and craftsmanship of each beverage it's beyond worth it. I have brought every family memeber that comes to visit me to social and we all agree social is elite even my snobby ex barista sister ;). I previously was drinking a LOT of coffee but now go for just one oat milk vanilla latte from social and I'm good for the whole work day. On top of the amazing beverages I also recommend the Pork Belly Breakfast Burrito to say I'm addicted is an understatement. It is ALWAYS cooked to perfection and the flavors blend together perfectly. If thats not enough to pull you in all the employees who work there are treasures to Baton Rouge. They all know my name which is nuts because how? They never make you feel unwelcome even if it's your first time in (ask if they have a first time at social sticker, they might be out so don't say I sent you). Also are all equally funny in their own way and always brighten my mornings no matter who's working. Social makes each day bright and sunny even on foggy Monday mornings 10/10 always recommend!!

Insanely expensive for a basic small coffee, which is their only size. Sure, the folks are nice. But something that should cost 1$ at most. Can't imagine going back. Matherns is right there and half the price for larger better tasting coffee. This place is quite a rip-off, not sure how they stay in business.

By far the best coffee I’ve had in a long time! The baristas were so nice, even taking the time to remember my name and make conversation with me. It was a nice, quiet spot to sit and work for a bit this morning. I’ll definitely be back!
