The Tamp & Grind is one of my favorite places to relax and enjoy a coffee / tea. Thier staff is attentive to their customers and have a very positive attitude. All in all I love the atmosphere the most!

Great atmosphere. Prompt service. Coffee is decent. Food is maybe frozen, definitely served cold and hard as a rock.

Good coffee. The bottom of their iced Carmel macchiatos with whipped cream are straight up addictive.

No franchise beats the friendly vibe of a local coffee shop, and this one serves it droves. Their avocado toast had just the right amount of salty kick to it. The iced latte was definitely not watered-down either.

The absolute best coffee shop in the world. They are the kindest people I’ve met and they always have a smile on their face. I’ve been grinding for years and I can honestly say that they will always have my business. If you are in the Alexandria Louisiana area and want coffee there’s no better place to go than Tamp and Grind.

We got here a bit late because they were out of quite a few things on the menu. No peanut butter, eggs, or bread. So we were unable to try the avocado toast and the cereal killer parfait. We did get to try the banana bread, ham pepper and cheese frittata, breakfast oats, mini waffles, and a white chocolate mocha. The food was delicious! Most of the food was gone before I could take a photo. The mocha was wonderful! I did feel a little unwelcome when I first came in though. I felt as though I was bothering the woman at the register. She did come through for me though when we ordered another item to find they were also out of yogurt so we got the oatmeal instead. All in all we may come back. Also, the decor is so aesthetic, definitely a good place to study, read, work, or just chill.

Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable staff. T&G consistently raises the bar for my expectations for coffee. Now they're adding more food items to the menu and every one I've tried has been exceptional. But I may be biased: I've been going to Tamp and Grind since it opened 13 years ago.

Love the atmosphere, baristas are nice, and its a nice place to get a little studying/relaxation done. My Mocha Latte was perfect (just tell em to put half the normal mocha flavoring) and the fritatta always taste great. 👌🏿 👍🏿

Eclectic and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of historic downtown Alexandria. Staff was friendly, attentive to details, and patient for each customer, even during busy times. Excellent place to study and focus, but also a fine place for a date. I especially appreciate their board game collection, available to all visiting in person.
