Little expensive but tasted amazing
This is such a great little, hidden gem 💎 in Morehead, KY. Very friendly staff! Great assortment of fresh baked products! Absolutely love their cheddar & herb bread 🍞 😋 Highly recommended! Next visit I will sample their sandwiches 🥪
Amazing cookies and one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life! They are also super sweet and give you a free sugar cookie on your first visit. Definitely will be coming back when we are in town!
Can I say Everything Is Great! Brunch, Lunch & delicious deserts from cookies to petit fours to cakes and pies and huge cinnamon rolls and more!

We absolutely love this place.. we eat here pretty regular ..The people are so friendly .. When the owner is there she always talks to customers.. The food is amazing .. We usually get chicken salad and pasta salad both are great.sweat tea is spot on.. and the butterscotch pie and sugar cookies is amazing.. we always get them for holidays and birthdays instead of cake and it’s always a hot .. just a all around great place ..

Great Gourmet Style BLT. Went as a group and we all really enjoyed the food. Great atmosphere. Be prepared to carry out, eat on the porch or in the yard. Baked Goods we're all amazing quality. Parking and seating are limited so plan ahead.

Excellent sugar cookies and the cake with chocolate, cheesecake and coconut (can't remember the name). We also got a cinnamon roll, sticky bun, and some scones that we plan to have tomorrow morning. The woman who checked us out gave my wife and I free cookies since it was our first time there, and also a couple free muffins since it was getting close to closing time. She was so very nice! This place is a must visit any time I'm in Morehead!
My first time ever going, and as soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and smile! I told her I had never been there, and she quickly got me a menu, showed me around, and explained what everything was to me. (And she also gave me 2 free cookies😊) She was very friendly and playful with my baby daughter. And to top off my experience, the food was delicious, and the sweets were even better. Great prices! I loved my first experience! I highly recommend this place and their summer salad with strawberry poppyseed dressing! Thank Root a Bakers for the amazing experience!
I don’t know what took me so long to visit this place but I’m happy I finally did. Not only do the sweets taste fantastic and are served with class, their lunches are worth every penny.
Worth the detour!! We read about this place online and, in spite of the high accolades, it exceeded our expectations! In our group we had the Broccoli Cheese soup, the Sweet and Smokey Turkey and Bacon Over My Hammy sandwiches and the Chicken Salad Garden Salad. Everything was exceptional. Ingredients were fresh, staff was patient and helpful and it had a varied selection. The home baked items were wonderful! Don't miss this gem!
