No one knows anything. How to make a drink or what the refund policy is on the merchandise. For a place that serves coffee y’all need to wake up.
This place is awesome! It has a cozy feel and a great place to have a change of scenery while I work. The coffee is always amazing and the staff is even better!

I stopped in with my Jack Russell to meet our trainer to advance the service dog training. What a wonderful surprise to find a cozy coffee shop that is dog friendly, has great service and delicious drinks and pastries. This will be my favorite place and they earned all of the stars

This coffee shop is a perfect fit for the cute town of Midway. Great coffee & vibe with plenty of spots to hang out and get some work done.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. I've been here so many times watching friends play music and enjoying a bottle of wine. Yes...wine. they have great coffee, a selection of spirits and wine as well. I'm always greeted with a smile and excellent service - if you are in the Midway area of Kentucky, make Black Type one of your stops. You won't regret it!
A ideal spot to visit with a friend or to read a book, with a warm and inviting atmosphere and an overall great aesthetic. Though some of the Google photos show the contrary, there were several seats and tables to choose from (at least on my visit).
First and last visit today. Very slow service. My friend's drink was so bad, she poured it down the sink. Lid didn't fit my cup, so coffee spilled down the front of me at first sip. I tried to put the lid back on correctly after this incident and it absolutely would not seat on the cup correctly. Not. Impressed.
Good coffee, neat shop, will definitely be back to check out the bar in the future
Amazing coffee shop! Nice selection of wine, cute gifts, fresh flowers and the nicest staff! Perfect place to go listen some great music on the weekend! Nothing but good to say - definitely worth the trip to Midway!!!!
This is a great coffee shop! I'm happy to have a place to get some coffee in Midway finally. It can rival any of the shops in the region in terms of quality.
“Coffee by Day - Bourbon Bar by Night” with Live Music. Behind the music is a screen recapping the day's races including Keenland. We were there both morning and night, same day. Engaging staff, relaxing atmosphere in the heart of bourbon and horse country. A wonderful combination of all!
I had a really nice time here with my girlfriend. Lovely setting and tunes. The charcuterie was a surprise, a delicious surprise. Their coffee is flavorful and the atmosphere relaxing. I'll be sure to come by another afternoon.
Cute little shop! However I wish they had earlier hours like most coffee shops. I am always already at work before they open so I unfortunately can never go on my way to work. One day I went into work late and stopped by a minute or two after opening but the girl working said the espresso machine needed to warm up so it would be around 9:20 until she could make me a latte and unfortunately I couldn’t wait that long.
A Cozy coffee shop! Love the atmosphere. Definitely will be on my favorite list.
