Good local coffee shop.
As always excellent customer attention. Coffee options are outstanding,
My kids love the frozen hot chocolates and I love the coffee!
Nice little cafe with friendly staff. No complaints.
This place is the best. Large drinks for what you pay!
Our first visit at Sister Beans…. We will definitely be back. Great location, staff was so sweet and coffee was amazing!
Coffee staff and owner were amazing!
I've been going to Sister Bean's since they opened. I hate that they're under new owners, but people move on. Hopefully the new owners maintain the quality and experience of the small business, as well as the integrity of service. Sister Beans could have easily put Starbucks out of business, just my opinion here!!
The best tasting coffee in all of Louisville!
I love to support 'maw-n-paw places, when I can. Second chance.. waited over 15mins. for a cup of overpriced cool/cold coffee.
Good coffee ....very good baked goods (from heitzmans bakery) more choices would make the food category better ...good service
My daughter give sister bean 👍👍amd a 100 out of 100
I love this place. The only thing I’d change is the hours open. It is 3:30pm and I’d love to drive over and get a nice iced latte and pastry but alas they are closed for the day. Very sad.
Great place to grab a latte and maybe a pastry. The Frozen Hot Chocolate is very tasty!! As was the Royal Mocha.
A favorite coffee shop our ours. (As a kid I would visit here often when it was an Ehrler's Ice Cream. Great memories.) Friendly counter service and even some gifts. Nice seating area with guest computers for accessing the internet. Clean bathrooms. We love getting a cup of coffee and walking the park.
Ordered 3 of the weekly specials, the chocolate almond mocha, and both mine and the other people I got them for agreed it tasted like flavored down chocolate water. Never been so disappointed in a coffee shop before.
This morning I visited Sister Bean’s Coffee at 5225 New Cut Rd after finishing a six mile run/hike with a 1000 feet elevation gain on Siltstone and Purple Heart Trails in Jefferson Memorial Forest. It was a tough run and I was cold, tired and sweaty so I definitely needed some hot java to warm me up. Sister Bean is deep in South Louisville across from beautiful Iroquois Park. I hadn’t been in this part of the city in a while and I’d forgotten it’s unique landscape of Olmsted’s design of the park and how Southern Parkway connects neighborhoods. The first thing that struck me was the sign near the entrance that read, “Coffee for Independent Thinkers” and I was immediately a fan without taking a sip of the shop’s brew. The experience got even better being greeted by the baristas Nate, Amelia, Aerith and Andrew. Their positive energy and playful banter was transportive. I was still sweaty but cold and tired no more. Being in the presence of good young folk is a cure all. They made me smile and the grin never left my face. My Americano was very good. I drank it slower than usual because I wanted to soak up every minute in the space, especially listening to the conversations around me and watching regulars come and go. Sister Bean’s is a special place and I’ll making it to this part of town more often.
Service is not what it used to be since new ownership managed to run off all the employees at one time. My last trip I ordered a frozen Sister Bean - the first one it looked like they forgot the caramel, so they dumped it on top. The second one looked like it was drowning in caramel and they had just poured the other one in a new cup with extra extra caramel. Then the employee huffed at me when I told him it was still not made right. I got a refund and left. I continued through the mass employee departure. I continued through the price increases. I won’t continue with expensive drinks made poorly, paying for extra shots I don’t get, customer service that is rude, nor poor management. I did message the owners and they ignored my message - that told me all I needed to know. Never again. Oh, and they blocked me on FB after I posted this same review on their page. Petty and unprofessional.
Ok atmosphere. Coffee has a unique flavor but nothing super special. Very friendly staff. Though one of the other customers, a strange older man stared at me the whole time and made it a very uncomfortable sit down.
This is my favorite coffee place since moving to Louisville. Their selection of baked goods is excellent, their coffee is great with many options, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is charming, & the prices are so fair I had to check I was still in 2022 & not like 2010. Thanks for a great place! This is now my new regular spot.
