I come here semi frequently, and the coffee is great most of the time. Sometimes the coffee has a burnt taste but what can you do. Very friendly staff. Prices are a bit steep as well but it is the highlands

I was hoping to enjoy the coffee more considering its price. I've purchased many bags of beans from various places while traveling in my Ambo 🚑 over the past two years. Although this was the most expensive coffee I've bought, I found it to be average compared to other roasters in the area.

Went in this afternoon to grab a snack, and there was a man hanging out by the counter - sitting on a stool in the middle of the shop, talking out loud at the top of his voice. I thought at first he was someone experiencing homelessness who they’d let hang out for a bit, or part of some sort of employment outreach program. Either of those would’ve been fine, but nope - he was the owner of the coffee shop. I am completely serious when I say have never had a coffee shop visit be more negatively impacted by a single person before. He was running his mouth non-stop about how successful his shop is, how fancy the coffee is, how much he’s travelled, how the shop is a “European coffee shop” (I lived in France for 14+ years; Fante coffee is not a European coffee shop). He was shouting out to people randomly as they walked in, talking so loud you couldn’t hear the barista, and blocking the flow of traffic to and from the counter. Overall the most unpleasant, arrogant caricature of a small-business owner you can imagine. I cannot imagine how annoying it is to be a worker there when Leo Fante visits. Massive solidarity with the baristas & workers at this place, bc I bet they aren’t paid enough to deal with that. I tipped 25% on my order and probably won’t be supporting this man’s shop in the future.

I love Fante's. The ambiance is so beautiful. So much heart & dedication was put into this cafe. The chai tea is great. The coffee & cars ongoing event is so much fun. Leo, the owner, is such a kind hearted soul who loves coffee. You can feel his passion, through his decor. Definitely visit as soon as you can.

We went here for the first time today and it was amazing! Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry with a calm atmosphere. Plus- if you need to print anything and you're like me who has a printer but never any ink, you can use their printer located in the coffee shop which I think is a real "above and beyond" service offered to customers!

Adorable! Obsessed with the domestic atmosphere here, and they really know their stuff with specialty coffee drinks. Absolutely delicious, reasonably mid-tier priced, a beautiful cozy spot, and wonderfully friendly staff.

My favorite coffee shop in Louisville. I love the selection and think it's a major plus you can gave a glass of wine on a day coffee just isnt enough lol. They're super friendly and it's always a welcoming environment.

It has a great ambiance. The service was quick its a bit pricey but overall it's definitely worth a try.

It was alright, coffee was a bit inconsistent due to me having no flavor and my wifes drink having a small bit of banana, pastry was good, but it has a good seating area and good atmosphere

Waited 30 minutes after placing an order before giving up and asked for a refund. Baristas had no sense of urgency.

The inside is so warm and cozy with plenty of seats and wifi. They roast the coffee right here so you know it’s fresh

We're vacationing in Louisville from out of town, visiting friends. Friends have been making us coffee at home with their own espresso machine but we wanted to try something of the local coffee culture. Not the best decision. My husband and I have just a plain latte anywhere and everywhere we go; it's a great way to simply sample the taste of the coffee, how well it's roasted, etc. Our friends make a better latte than this place. It's coffee, but it's nothing spectacular. A bit on the weak side in terms of taste. And crazy large portions; the small here seems to start at 16oz, which would be a medium at a cafe we're used to in our home city. It's a cute atmosphere, sure, but it's not worth dropping $5 on a mediocre coffee. Also, I asked about allergen information for their pastries, hoping to buy something for my child who has a few food allergies. The employees had no idea what was in the pastries? I assume they're maybe brought in frozen then, purchased elsewhere? Again, not really worth the visit.

Overall, a very neat place to visit. The staff is friendly but not overly attentive (which might appeal to some and not so much to others). I used their print service, but the printer was jammed so I had to pay double what I had anticipated.

Delicious food, perfect way to start the day. Staff was very helpful and helped recommend drinks. Will be coming back!

Easily the least pretentious of all local coffee shops. There should be eight of these locations instead of Heinie Brothers and other clones. Good relaxing classical and smooth jazz soundtrack on the speakers as well. God bless this establishment.

You go to a coffeehouse for the coffee and their coffee is wonderful! The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is generally pleasant. If you buy food, you might not be as pleased, as in my experience it has been a disappointment each time: stale scones, bagels that could pass for stones, and gloopy sandwiches. Ignore the food and enjoy the coffee!
