I am new to the franklin, KY area from Nashville. So happy I found this gem. GREAT coffee and avocado toast was amazing.
It's a quaint little coffee shop on the square. I've only eaten their food a couple times and it was okay. But their coffee and espresso options are phenomenal. And the staff is always nice. They do also have a lot of dessert options.
Quaint and lovely where historic meets contempory for coffee & beverage enjoyment.

This place has such a great vibe, it's a perfect place to grab lunch! The food is really yummy and it's not near as expensive as chain places like Panera. I'll definitely be back again!!
The food is great. I am an ex-barista and I will say the coffee is impressive for what it is too. The ambience is wonderful, calm and relaxed, and the music is not too loud. My only issue is the customer service. I have visited here twice now because it is the only cafe in Franklin to serve espresso drinks and I do quite enjoy the food. The same lady had been working front counter both times and seemed very disinterested, unfriendly and impatient with me. My first time visiting, my fiancée and I spend about 5-7 minutes checking out the menu before ordering and asking very reasonable questions. This seemed to irritate her a good deal, I tipped regardless. The second time I ordered within a minute of getting there, I walked up to the counter to view the menu first and got a very haughty “can I help you?” as if I was unwanted company. When she sent our drinks out she seemed very surprised that we gave her a thank you, as if she wasn’t used to hearing it. Which is surprising to me! The gentleman that brought our food out was much more pleasant and friendly, but seemed a little worn out. Overall I know that many miserable customer service workers are only the result of their community not appreciating them. I would hope that we are all treating our foodservice workers with respect regardless of their bad attitudes. Thank you for the good food & drink!
Enjoyed the home town feel
I was passing through and came across this cafe in downtown Franklin KY. From the name, I was hoping they also roasted their own beans. The layout is nice, and could expand into a serious type of coffee shop if a dedicated barista was hired. I live about 25 minutes away and will not make plans to visit for a latte though. If nearby, I would probably stop in and order something else that doesn't require steamed milk.
Eh...beautiful establishment, but the coffee was mediocre.
Awesome customer service, very clean, quaint, & the food was delicious! I had potato soup & half a turkey sandwich and fruit tea. Went with a friend for lunch & was not disappointed! Will definitely be back!
Always delicious
Pretty good coffee! A little hot, but once it cooled it was an enjoyable experience. Just had to wait about 15 minutes before I could drink the coffee. Bacon and eggs were good! Overall a pretty chill environment that I love to visit when I’m in town!
It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. This one is deserved. On Christmas Eve before leaving town I brought my family in for coffee and food. The lady taking my wife’s order was very rude. The man that delivered the food was very nice. Food and drinks were great but the lady should not be the face of the business with her attitude. I watched her be rude to other people. My wife even said Merry Christmas to her when leaving and she just looked at her and mumbled something. Pathetic customer service..

Nice warm atmosphere when I walked in
Went here with my youngest son for lunch today. First time at Mill House Cafe. Really nice inside. We both ordered the marinated chicken croissant sandwich. They were delicious! My son ordered a pasta side too. I tried it and found it pretty tasty. We like eating at places like this and will return another day.
Nice little place to get away from it all
They were ok... Food and coffee were cold. But it was a great looking place. Great seating - we sat outside. Very beautiful inside and out.
I haven't had anything that wasn't delicious! It's a great place to get a little work done or catch up with friends.
