Excellent chicken fried steak and pie!
Don't let the outside fool ya. The food and service was fantastic. It reminds me of the old Cafe I used to visit with my grandparents. These "off the path" Cafe's are the best places to eat! We will definitely be coming back to eat again.

The owner is an Angel. I go in there everytime I am in South Haven. Her an her staff are TOP notch, her open faced roast beef is to die for. Her prices are unbelievable. I loved being with Weee Entertainment an going there every year during the carnival. I ran the Bullet an last year there I ran kiddie jets. She was always polite an treated us with respect an is fun to talk to. I no longer work with the carnival. But I would travel from Tucumcari to South Haven for the food and company. if you ever get to South Haven stop in say hi an get a HOME COOKED MEAL, I miss not go oing in there to eat. She an her staff has given me great food and memories. Thank You. Her sweet tea is better than most restaurants I have been to. Thanks for the food an memories an I will see ya again. This place was off the hwy a bit but we'll worth it. Great food, great staff and even better signs on the wall.
Great time! Got food here on our way to Oklahoma. Kay's was great. I had the double bacon cheeseburger and it was so good! Uncle Hank like all the funny signs. Keep up the good work ladies!

If you would pass through this town, do stop by; it’s well worth it for the burgers. Better than McDonald’s on the turnpike south of Wichita, plus friendly service.
I eat at Kay's everyday when I'm hunting in Kansas. Great food and great staff. The double bacon cheeseburger with fries and gravy is my favorite.
