Far exceeded our expectations! We found this gem on a whim on our way out of town and it did not disappoint. We’re admit-tingly total coffee snobs and wow- the flavor combination in the special latte was so smooth and absolutely delicious. My husband had the sweet potato muffin and I had a gf banana peanut butter chocolate chip bread and both were amazingly moist and so tasty. The service was fast and super friendly as well! Highly recommend.

Won’t be going anymore too many liberals and wokes pushing their opinions on the whole place, including the manager. Restrooms were dirty first thing in the morning. Coffee is dark, gross, and bitter no matter what you add to it. Also, dress up costumes and hats are not sanitary for children. Think lice, viruses, etc.

I love this coffee shop! Wonderful atmosphere, great customer service, delicious coffee. I make a point to stop in every time I drive across country. Edit: The new location a few doors down from the old one is just as lovely! Same great atmosphere, and continues to be my favorite coffee shop in the U.S. 🤍

Ad Astra is a local coffee shop. It is in a very old and unique storefront that's all brick inside. All of the bricks are over 100 years old I'm sure. It's locally ran, it has amazing cappuccinos and coffee you can set and browse at books and read for free, enjoying an assortment of coffee beverages. There's also coffees that you can buy there that are roasted in Central Kansas that are very good! You can also buy local honey there. The inside is very spacious and big, with high ceilings. It is nice and casual place where you can just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a slice of pie, an Italian soda etc. Definitely stop by and check it out!

Was recommended this place and was hyped up. But that's the privilege with hype for me. It never meets my expectations. Great place. Wish it was bigger. I appreciate the mission of the owner. I appreciate this place existing. It's heart warming to have a space for reading, art, and culture. I was disappointed in my coffee though. Ordered a flat white. Half my drink was wasted and spilled out when made. And the portions for the cost were also disappointing. But otherwise it was great and it's a place i hope to frequent.

Really nice place to hang out. Update: Previously I said they don't brew the Blacksmith coffee, but it sounds like they rotate between Blacksmith and Pennant. Unfortunately I didn't personally enjoy the Pennant coffee. But I love Blacksmith, so will look forward to when it rotates in.

I am loving the new location and baked good additions. The peanut butter marshmallow cookies were delicious 😋 as were the blueberry oatmeal ones and the lavender coffee cake. I had a chance to speak to the owner, who is an absolute gem with a knack for creating a warm inviting environment for working or social gatherings. Oh! The coffee is superb, served by the friendliest of baristas.

This is definitely a place to go if you need to raise your vibrations. As someone who loves to read , I was very confused when walking in to this Coffee Shop. ( Only because I've never seen something like this before) It's a beautiful place and a great atmosphere. I've never seen anything like it before.

Best Coffee, atmosphere, and LOCAL! Now in new location just a couple doors south of the old one. The address changed, the Coffee, the books, the vibe, is in the same spirit, but actually improved, which did not seem possible! New location, same place Salina loves.

Update, if you haven't been to the new ad Astra location, you must. Beautifully shiny and new spot. Great food and staff. And of course I must mention all the wonderful books. Ad Astra is the perfect coffee meets books place. I love it. Books line the brick walls. Friendly staff. And of course excellent coffee options.

This was my first visit and I’m pleased. I usually frequent Starbucks, but I decided to find something new, closer, and that served coffee that doesn’t upset my stomach. It appears Ad Astra moved recently because this location looks great inside. It’s quite inviting and relaxing. If you stay, they will put your hot drink in a nice mug instead of a paper cup. I liked that because it stayed warmer longer. I also tried the Fudge Caramel Chocolate Brownie and it is wonderful and rich. This month they have a Toasted Coconut Chocolate Latte, as well as some others, but I gave it a try and it was very good! Overall, I think this will be my new go to spot in town. They appear to embrace all in the community too. I love seeing an inclusive business! You should check it out too!

Amazing atmosphere! Great service from Mo the barista, super awesome attitude and perfect recommendations when I didn't know what I wanted since it was my first time there. The drink I ended up with was fabulous! Good flavor combinations that didn't overwhelm the wonderful taste of good coffee. 12/10 Would visit again for the service, alone.
