Brewed coffee is excellent. All light roasts have a mellow fruity overtone without being acidic at all. Decaf is just as good as the light roasts (I can almost taste chocolate covered cherry in the Costa Rica decaf). I think they roast their own coffee. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating. Cinnamon rolls are excellent - they don't skimp on the cinnamon or icing (who said Cinnamon rolls should be healthy). Highly recommend.

Seriously amazing service. I’m not sure what other reviewers are talking. Everyone was super friendly and the drink I got was delicious. The vibe of the place in general is also really great. Highly recommend

Love this place! They grow and roast their own coffee. Yes! They grow their own coffee in Panama. Plus the best rock cakes in town (scones). Must check out!

The worst customer service ever, the site says they’re open till 6pm. We came by 3:30pm but the server said they close in 10 min after we have already ordered our coffees. And was acting very passive aggressive the whole time I was ordering. Super unprofessional and not friendly for no reason. Never had such treatment before. I never write bad reviews but really shows how a server can ruin your day when you’re only trying to have a good time and try new cafes near by. & the coffee tastes very unpleasant. Absolutely disgusting. Absolutely don’t recommend.

The website claims house made gluten free pastries alongside normal food and pastries. In reality, there are two pre-packaged, expensive GF cookies. Disappointed in the false advertising. My latte is overheated. Sad.

Celebrations great customer has DIED. They use to be so friendly and provide table service to order lunch, etc. The gal at the front when I asked her literally said, no we don't do that. I asked her, since when?? We first came in and found a table. She waited behind counter and just looked as us. So we walked up to order coffees while we waited for our 4th person to arrive to order lunch. Waited and waited and waited for them to come out. When we finally asked, do you have our coffees ready. She said, yeah there sitting back here till you place the rest of your order and pay. WOW. I hope this message gets to the owners. This is nothing like what I knew and enjoyed about coming to celebrations! Not coming back.

Regular roasts and lattes do not taste very good, but their flavored roasts are pretty delicious. A good atmosphere and all right customer service.

The best place for true coffee taste. I think it is the best cup Des Moines has to offer.

Really good espresso and tasty treats. Took a cinnamon roll and a coconut cake home-- both were good, I only wish that we had eaten them sooner haha!

This used to be a good coffee shop but the service today was horrible. Both the girls working were carrying on their conversation with me at the register trying to order, completely ignoring me. They had such attitudes when I DARED to interrupt their conversation so they could do their jobs.. Used to love this place but the service today was horrible compared to other times.

Incredibly rude as soon as we walked in, didn’t really greet us at all just kind of looked at us. Then walked away while we looked at the menu. Everything we said was just nods and grunts. It was very odd. We were really excited for this local place by our house but won’t be back because of the service

Nice place. Came in around 11am on Sunday. Did not have to wait for service. They roast their own beans here which says a lot about a coffee shop. I ordered a decaf macchiato. I had already had a lot of caffeine earlier but I love coffee. The decaf was indistinguishable from the caffeinated brew my boyfriend got. Amazing to still have decent flavor and be almost caffeine-free! Space was beautiful and baristas were super-friendly. Plenty of places to sit, inside and out.

So much fun meeting the owner, Jan. We won a silver medal in the Iowa State Pickleball Games womens 4.0 division so I had to stop by. The Quiche is #Amazing. Seriously, a must try. The crust is flaky and soft. The egg mixture is perfectly seasoned and textured. I also had a vanilla latte - one of the most delicious coffees ever. The foam was perfect. We definitely need one of these in Kansas City. I hope she decides to franchise!
