Very cool place with coffee and food. Highly recommended.
This is a great coffee shop! I have always thoroughly enjoyed everything I've consumed here and I've tried a lot of items, from scrumptious cookies and pastries, to delicious breakfast sandwiches, soup and paninis. Of course, the coffee is delicious. My personal favorite beverages served here are the Italian Cream Sodas and the tea lattes. The service is always outstanding! I highly recommend this coffee shop!
Sometimes the staff is friendly, sometimes not. Came in for an energy drink placed my order 2 hours ahead for pick up, when I got there it was not ready and had to wait for them to make other customers orders just to be told they don't even have my drink ready, had to leave I didn't think it would take that long for only a drink. Would be lying if I said I was given fair customer service.
Very good service and the food and or drink is made fairly fast. Also a very nice, calming, homey atmosphere 10/10 would recommend. There is also great variety.
Came in with friends, and the lady who helped us was super patient and friendly! Will most definitely be back in the future.

Enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch panini with pasta salad and huckleberry lavender refresher. Good wholesome service and cozy environment.
We had lunch with Panini sandwiches and soup. They have a pick 2 special daily plus pastries, cinnamon rolls, scones and several coffee and tea drinks. Very nice atmosphere with friendly staff. We will be back!
Have had many lunches here and love their soups and the Italian chicken sandwich is my favorite! Drinks are also great and customizable! Brickside makes a great addition to Vinton!
Nice coffee shop with great service and lots of great teas and coffees to try. Glad we stopped in, brew and chew will quickly become a normal stop for me on the weekends!
Great drink and food selection to pick two is a great idea or you can get half a sandwich and a cup of soup
While visiting native prairies in NE Iowa, I stopped by Brickside a couple weeks ago. Sue (owner) bakes the most spectacular cookies and pastries. Her fresh coffee is from Ross Street Roasting in Tama, Ia. The coffee was so good I bought a couple bags to bring home. I highly recommend this little cafe/boutique.
We stopped here on the way through town for some great espresso and tea, along with a homemade caramel nut roll. Service was excellent. This is one of the best venues for dine-in espresso and sandwiches in Iowa. We took advantage of the late Thursday hours. Next time we’ll plan to come earlier for lunch.
