Great coffee and an awesome space!
I am from Washington State and I am spoiled by really good gourmet coffee, I ordered a iced chai with almond milk and single shot of espresso in a "for here" cup. I have experience working in a gourmet coffee house I wanted to taste their espresso. I asked what kind of chai they used, the barista answered "vanilla, spiced, caramel..." I clarified what brand? She said "pounder" which I never heard of but it disappointedly tasted like dried powder mix, like Big Train. Smoky Row, look into switching to Maya chai. It is a concentrate, it both looks and tastes delicious and is efficient to prepare. The espresso was served in a paper cup and it was room temperature. The initial flavor was sharp but fell flat after the espresso hit the rest of my mouth. Maybe have a mid-day chore to dial in your grinder? I would of loved to have seen the layers of the crema on the espresso in a glass/for-here cup. If you have a kitchen with a dishwasher may I recommend perhaps opting to serve drinks in reusable cups and glasses? It would be a good economical move as well as environmental. Also people like me who enjoy a specialty drink can sit down and enjoy the artistry of a well crafted cafe. I understand that some coffee shops are more "fast coffee" which work to push orders out quickly and opt specialize large and sugary drinks. Your establishment gave me a different impression, I assumed it was a slow, gourmet coffee shop and diner. (Tables, food menu, next door book shop and ambient music) Whatever your goal is and whatever is working for you go for it and do it really well. Good luck Smoky Row.
First time in town, and decided to pay them a visit for my caffeine fix and WOW! Beautiful place and truly amazing coffee.
Homemade bakery items like muffins and cakes. Delicious unique coffees, teas, smoothies and energy drinks. The Java freezes are a must have. Caramel is the best. The hot chocolate is also super good. Cute clothing and mugs as well.
quaint coffee/lunch spot right off the main square of town.
Friendly staff and amazing coffee! Prices are not bad either. Highly recommend!
Very warm and cozy definitely a place to chill! I've always loved their milkshakes! Anything with m&ms are to DIEE FORRR!
Ordered a drink just now and the lady (tall red head) that helped me and my nephew definitely gave us the look. Didn’t say nothing bad but her actions spoke otherwise. The service was a little disappointing today.
Very good service...great coffee
The best coffee house. Located in Oskaloosa, Pella and Pleasantville Iowa. They have the flavor of the day coffee, you can buy some exotic coffee to take home. Prices are slightly less than other coffee shops.
Great place to stop in & have a nice cup of coffee or espresso! Try their humongous cookies & multiple choices of goodies & ice cream! Have to return to try out the rest of their enormous menu 😋 👌 See you all again soon!
Had some tea. Staff was knowledgeable and tea was great. Thanks.
Dined in with my friends, had a great time
Nice place to meet or have a meeting. However, they are now charging for the private room.
I typically visit this location a few time each week to do school work. Drinks are almost always consistent and come out in a timely manner. The service is phenomenal and the staff is easy to talk with. On top of that, there is free wifi and the atmosphere is welcoming.
