I eat here often because I love their iced tea and corned beef hash and eggs. The portion sizes are good, the employees are friendly and the place is clean.

Came back for breakfast today to give another shot. My eggs were raw (clear egg white jiggling) making the corn break thing they were on wet and mushy. This place is consistent and not in a good way. It’s ok. Used to be better. Food is borderline cold when you get it. Yesterday a staff member was wearing a shirt for another restaurant, Brothers Bar & Grill and another employee wearing sweatpants. I believe the only reason Blue Bird North Liberty is so busy for breakfast is because there are no other options.

I thought it was just OK. I wasn't as blown away as I thought I would be. Nice, clean diner that opens kind of late (7am). Some things were typical for a breakfast diner, but they did offer some cool and unusual breakfasts. I had biscuits and gravy, and they have a very sweet gravy. Really enjoyed that.

Not from Iowa but if I happen to end up there I'd definitely make a trip to this cafe again

It can get a little crowded at Bluebird, but it's worth the wait. My go-to order is usually 3 pancakes with a side of bacon and coffee (all delicious), but I also love their omelets and eggs benedict. I always *want* to order one of their giant cinnamon rolls, but I'm always way too full. Tip: Ask for a side of ghost pepper aioli. It's excellent on eggs, hash browns, etc.

Good food, except more than half the time my toast and/or hash browns are burnt in my Chomp delivery orders.

We are new to the area and enjoy having breakfast for dinner. The Bluebird Cafe was close to home and we thought we would give it a try. I can only say, WOW. Incredible food at an incredible price. Everything that we tried (Eggs Benedict Hash Browns, Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Gravy and Mac and Cheese) had a unique Blue Bird spin enhancing these old favorites with unique flavors. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast spot. About 15-20 minutes wait on Saturday morning, not too bad. Food came out in decent amount of time. The cinnamon roll French toast is huge!

Excellent service and food tasted fresh and was delicious. I had the krakatoa omelet, hash browns, wheat toast, and a huge pancake. Large portions, clean and attentive service. Highly recommend!

A local legend. North Liberty location is every bit as awesome as the downtown location. Parking is better, tho'. But we expect that in the 'burbs. 👍 Update: same friendly staff, great service, can-do customer service, and all-around great food. I had the corned beef hash, which could have been a tidge more done, to my taste. However, the idea that it could been BE underdone, means that yes, they cut those vegetables fresh and cooked it all from scratch. 💖💖 So, for me, that's a, "Heck, yeah!" I can't think of many places where you can get actual real cooked food (that didn't fall off the Sysco truck), for the bargain price of ~ $15/plate. The eggs I ordered "over easy", and they were *perfection*. No raw egg white portions, but perfectly runny yolks. Blue Bird does not offer gluten-free bread, but I was able to get a GF pancake (instead of toast), for a small $1 upcharge. It is the BEST GF pancake I have ever. Dinner plate-sized. Perfectly crispy outside, soft fluffy inner, slightly sweet. Just perfect. Maple bacon was amazing. Very flavorful, and even more special than regular bacon. I am in love with these guys, forever and ever. Eat here soon, repeat often. Local legend continues.

Pretty good for the most part. We get takeout usually and they burn the toast almost every time. I don't know if they just don't care because it's takeout but it's very frustrating. Please stop sending out burnt toast!!

Food was great we had a build your own omelet and coffee. Delicious. Their house coffee is a great take-home item. There is another Bluebird Cafe in Solon also.

I was impressed with how well the food could be presented and somehow have literally no flavor at all. The coffee was watered down, the hot chocolate was watered down, the food didn't even taste like the ingredients it was made from, because that would mean it would have flavor. How can you make hash browns less flavorful than raw potatoes? It shouldn't even be possible!
