Dutch Oven Bakery is a Boone staple. It's obvious that they have the best donuts and rolls in town, by far. However, you may not know that they serve excellent protein smoothies as well. More than that, their chicken salad croissants, Reubens, and soups are only surpassed by their friendly service. Highly recommend!

I am new to Boone. I live not far from the Dutch Bakery and this place makes me feel like home, as soon as I walk in. It smells wonderful and the staff is always kind and the pastries and treats are divine and the soups and sandwiches are equally as delectable! Chili is excellent too! I purchase my breads here now, not the store. I am in love with the Dutch Apple bread! Yum! This is a cozy comfortable place to sit alone and enjoy a book and some tea or coffee, or with family and friends to gather. I came here from California, and this is thee best bakery I have ever known, in my 50 years, of life. That’s how good it is and how friendly it is. I’m luckily to live so close ! WOOTWOOT ; )
A pleasant surprise for this Dutchman driving through Iowa. You need some fresh stroopwafel, poffertjes, and some pannenkoeken!
This is a family favorite! We love the baked goods as well as the soup and sandwiches. Whenever we have some down time or are just looking for a good donut and coffee we always turn to Old Dutch. This small business definitely takes no shortcuts and cares about their customers. They also have an awesome bakery offering!!
Visited the Dutch Oven Bakery in Boone on a very nice Fall afternoon in Iowa, after we had hiked the nearby Ledges State Park (look for a review on he park elsewhere.) Folks, this bakery has been around forever, and they serve up some of the freshest pastries and goods you'll find. I chose a "Sticky Bun" (pic shown) and my wife had an Apple Turnover. We also got 2 sugar cookies for later (also shown.) Both the Sticky Bun and Turnover were like they just came out of the oven. Yeah, they were that fresh. We didn't have the cookies until the next day, and surprisingly, they were still pretty soft. Great job, Dutch Oven ... you served up some 5-star treats on what just happened to be my birthday!

Went there with my wife a couple days ago, very cozy atmosphere the entire time and polite staff. Got our dutch letters and pudding filled pastries. Positives • Very Polite • Efficiently moved through the line • Everything we bought was quality ❤ Negatives / Needs some work • Nothing to report on this, kudos for that ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great spot for breakfast or lunch! Delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches. Tons of beverages to choose from. Classic Dutch letters and tons of other doughnut options. It is always kept clean, and the service is always fast and friendly. Their cakes are my absolute favorite. The best buttercream!
Was the best food we ever had! The soup was amazing, and the donuts were amazing! And the people were so sweet and nice, we go there every time we go snowboarding now! It's a must go to bakery! Please support this lovely business!

The donuts are to DIE for! We had many different flavors of donuts from the Dutch Oven Bakery at our wedding and they were a hit! So tasty and so cute! Additionally, Courtney made us a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake! We received so many compliments throughout the night raving about the desserts!
