Federal Coffee is a quality coffee joint in Terre Haute. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is delicious looking, and the coffee is well done. I ordered a macchiato and a sausage roll. The sausage roll was stellar, and a reasonable price, and the macchiato was good. I'm looking forward to the next time I can visit this spot.
The coffee is amazing & they have a lot of different things you can order but it’s all really good. Whoever bought & rehabbed the building did an amazing job on the inside! It’s beautiful. You can sit inside & look out the huge windows or if it’s nice outside you can sit in the seating area they have which is really clean & has plenty of space. I love this place

Federal Coffee is a great lunch spot at the heart of Downtown Terre Haute. Their menu is always filled with unique and delicious offerings and I'm always excited to try new things.
Everything about this place is way better than it has to be - I’d come for the coffee alone (always brewed strong & perfect, from Indiana roasted beans) - but the breakfast items & baked good are just next level. I visit multiple times whenever I’m in town & here I am, a week later still dreaming about this egg in the hole. The skill on display in this seemingly humble dish!! The bread had a delightful bagel-like chew, the gossamer-thin (quality!) ham was just the right amount, with an egg cooked to such perfection the yolk ate like a savory jam. Perfect sprinkle of cheese- with everything toasted exactly right AND the detail of a little parsley & pepper which if nothing else made a feast for the eyes. I could eat this virtually every day of my life & die happy. Please never let your standards slip, Federal- you are the very best of Terre Haute & I love you.
Prefacing by saying the owners were lovely and I do not wish them any Ill will <3 Got hired at the location. Interview went very well. First shift I was given busywork and told to put stickers on bags for the opening restaurant portion (late 2021), rather than being trained. “We’re not busy enough to train you” the manager and head barista said. I was sent home after two hours (my shift was 4) and told the manager was going to clock me out on the hour. I went home. Around 30 minutes past my end time, I got a notification telling me to clock out. I had to drive all the way back and clock out. A week and a half went by that I did not see my name on the schedule so I reached out to the manager who hired me on and I was told “I don’t see you being scheduled for at least the next three weeks”. I was recently separated (of my own will) from Starbucks coffee company, and had no income. I was told I’d be working 30-35 hours a week and was relying on this job to provide my income for rent and bills. That did not happen. I immediately left. If you get hired here, make sure you get a schedule upfront. Take it from me

i go to this coffee shop pretty much every day. their seasonal drinks are always a must try!! their baked foods and sandwiches are also amazing!! i recommend the lingonberry whirls :D!! the workers here are always so nice and friendly!!

Cutest corner café. I ordered a drink and breakfast sandwich which were both very good. Friendly staff.
The cafe owner had a warm welcoming smile on his face. He seemed nice too. Generally smiles on staff’s faces. Nice people. If you are a visible minority, I would be extra careful sitting in the cafe facing the window. I filed a police report after I had a terrible incident. There was a man who was glaring at me from his car as he was waiting for traffic. When I noticed him, he rolled his windows down and spat at my direction.
The coffee here is really good-no sour or bitter after-taste for those of you who like plain black coffee. The scone was tasty but a bit dry. I’d come for the coffee again.

The cappuccino was great and I loved my energy bar. It's such a cute place to pop in.

Love, love, love this place! I come to town a few times a semester and stay nearby. Federal has not only great coffee but their grab and go salads are AMAZING!
