Slow Saturday only one table head of 6 ahead of us. We waited 40 minutes to get our food, just an omelette and sandwich. I ordered the chicken roll-up...so disappointed. Thought it was going to be a wrap...no, just a tortilla with a slice of ham ? rolled up and cut into bits. Recommend removing from the menu. Husbands omelette was fine. The staff did apologize for the long wait and gave us a slice of carrot cake, which was amazing!!!
I can't say enough great things about this place. The food is excellent, Hannah and her team go above and beyond with customer service. They have a very welcoming atmosphere and make you feel at home!
Fun place....
Finally got to try out this cafe & WOW! The food is absolutely delicious & the staff were all very kind! The owner works so hard and has developed a wonderful business!
Great food, good prices, and nice servers!
Great little hidden gem! Friendly staff and good food! Thank you for taking our group! We'll be back!
Very good food. The service was excellent. We got our food quickly. The place was really clean! I will definitely go again!
A great hometown place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I used to eat dinner in this same space after basketball games back in the Hotshot days of the early '80s. I got to meet the new owner, Hannah, and she was motivated to make her space welcoming to families, especially kids. Her food is delicious and she includes many local home recipes. I had the cheesy potato soup, omelet with ham, cheese, tomatoes with a side of hash browns and white toast. I liked it so much I ordered a cheese burger with ketchup, mustard, and pickle with their house fries and a cherry Pepsi to go. For those who like to have a cold adult beverage, Hannah has her beer/ wine license to compliment her delicious evening meals. Stop by to support a local restaurant with hometown appeal and delicious recipes.
My family and I really loved this place. It had great food and service! The fries are amazjng!
Great place for an awesome meal.
we drove from Terre Haute to eat lunch today at the restaurant. the people working there were very friendly, but the portions were so small I left hungry. I paid $10 for a chicken fried steak that looked the size of about a hamburger and about two scoops of mashed potatoes with gravy. there was no vegetable or bread or anything. I ate the whole thing in about 2 minutes. it was very disappointing because I like the building and like I said, the people were very nice comma but it really stinks when you leave the restaurant and have to go get something else to eat cuz you're still hungry.
A nice surprise in such a small town. Friendly staff. Great food! I’ll certainly be back. Only reason 4 not 5 is I want a few more visits. It was great!
Small town restaurant, big town taste! Generous portions and homemade pies. Very friendly staff that makes you feel like part of the family.
If you want a small town and some good food, this is the place! Great service, good prices and food.
Great food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff
At first entering this cafe, it felt homey and comfortable, just how a small town cafe should feel. The floors looked spotless and the staff cleared tables quickly as it was lunch hour busy. The staff was so nice and attentive. We both enjoyed our meals and the green beans were seasoned well—-not the out of the can taste. Loved the sauce over the meatloaf. And the chicken fried steak was super tasty. We will be returning.
Good experience, great ambiance, friendly staff, good food. Really enjoy when they’re open for Saturday morning breakfast.
So good! It was a tough choice, but we went with the all day breakfast menu. I recommend the “Haystack” with fried potatoes! My sons pancake was bigger than his head. Owner is incredibly welcoming and the staff were fantastic. Great atmosphere! We will be back!
Waitress was excellent. Food preparation was a little slow, but taste was Great! Price was quite fair for what we got. Atmosphere wonderful!
