Lets face it after alll this food prices service and waiting time is horrible its not excuse they dont have a staff to customers pay the price
I remember when you had to wait to get a table in this place. It feels like it's on its last legs.
We stopped here for breakfast passing through on a road trip. It was very busy, but the wait wasn't long. The coffee was good and they left a carafe for refills which was nice. The sausage gravy was good, the pancakes were fluffy. Everyone cleaned their plate, so that's a good indication that the food was good. The ambiance is like small town diner. Our server was attentive and apologized in advance that the kitchen was running behind, but our food still came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh! My only gripe would be the bathroom could have been more clean, it was kind of gross.
Been going here for over 40 years. Still the same great food and service. There are many memories of the Waffle House/Sunshine Cafe. Many Ball State students remember watching the sun rise at the Sunshine on a Sunday morning 🤣
Nice place usually packed seating was hard to get.
Melvin the busser was amazing and so was our server! They made our morning great!
Food is always good there. Our servers was very nice and considerate.
I felt like everyone working here was on drugs. The food? Not good. The young cashier? Pathetic

Service here has been nothing but a very long wait for some average food they have gone hill wouldn’t recommend
It was crowded and rated well, so I had high expectations. We waited 40 minutes for our food. I had a 4 cheese omelet and it was fine. I am gluten intolerant, so I chose tomatoes and fruit as sides. These were good. My daughter and MIL had hamburgers. The buns both tasted soured. I let the waitress know, and she said she would tell the kitchen. That was it. No fresh buns were offered and no discounts either. Our waitress was also very irritated. Maybe it was the wait for the food but she was grumpy towards us. It was my first time here and I have no desire to go back. The prices are good but with the long wait and not so good food, I will find somewhere else. Also, there are very few gluten-free free options here.
Always enjoy going to Sunshine Cafe. Good food. Like many other places, they are short-staffed, but their staff does very well.

This place hs been a favorite of mine for years. The breakfast is the best.
