Good service and food, very kind and friendly workers.
The food was average. Our primary complaint is that there was an unreasonable upcharge for several items that were not written or explained. Pop is $3.50 for a small glass full of ice and hard to get a refill.
Nice place. We enjoyed very nice Breakfast 😀
Worst breakfast experience I've had in decades. Wife ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered a breakfast sausage bagel. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our drink orders while dropping off menus. We received our drinks and placed our order when she returned. Then the bad experience started. She disappeared, our drinks went empty and she was nowhere in sight, but none of the other girls offered to refill our drinks. When "our" waitress returned (17 minutes) she filled our drinks and said she would check on our order. Our food came out at 52 minutes. The wife said her food was OK. But mine was a cold nasty bad decision. Biggest waste of a morning I can remember.
Great breakfast, wonderful service clean
Very friendly local little place! Amazing food, great portion sizes and happy friendly staff ❣️ highly recommend, check hours usually close by 2:00 p.m. ❣️
Food was fantastic ! The waitress Vana was wonderful I ordered eggs and cornbeef and My husband ordered the deluxe burger and fries 🍟. Most definitely come back
Western omelet and Western skillet were awesome. Waitress was polite, quick, and answered all our questions. First time here will definitely stop again if in the area.
Over $50 for 2 kids under 5 and 2 adults is absolutely ridiculous. Will not be going back. IHOP and waffle house prices but not even half the food you get there.. $3 for kids drinks (size of McDonald's) kids meals are almost $7 for 2 silver cakes and a round sausage patty.
Best Breakfast in Steuben County
Third time here for breakfast and they never disappoint. Great food, hometown feel with great service. Looking forward to my fourth visit.
Service was great, food was over done and not worth the money wont visit there again.
Terrible food and over priced
Just a small town diner but they do it right. The scratch pies, clean environment, and food prepared proper is why we go back. Staff is always great, timely, and quick to fill a coffee. 8f you're into the round table, there's one at each end. Highly recommend this off the beat and path piece of small town America.
My family was taking a car trip from Indiana to Michigan and we stopped in at Bull Pen Cafe about 10 minutes before they closed on a Sunday. It was about the only thing open aside from fast food joints. Rather than being rushed with us, the friendly staff greeted us, let us know the kitchen was closing soon, and asked if we would like to put in an order. Our lunches came out quickly and everything was delicious - Philly cheese steak hoagie for me, breakfast sandwich for my wife, chicken strips and chicken bacon ranch for the boys, and cheese sandwich for the baby. Service was attentive and despite our late arrival, they made us feel welcome and relaxed. Before our food came and without asking our waitress brought us some crackers and apple sauce for the baby, who she could tell was hungry. We had a great lunch here and would recommend it to anybody. If we are back in Fremont we'll definitely be back. Thanks Bill Pen Cafe!
We were in town for the holiday weekend and stopped in for breakfast. What a GEM!!! The staff is amazing and the food even better 😋 The portions are more than generous. We will definitely be back when in the area. I highly recommend
The meal was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and didn't make you feel rushed to eat and leave
