Good food and good service
We were seated within a few minutes and a high chair was provided. The server was prompt and honest.
Food was just ok and the place was full of drunks.
Delicious food definitely will go back
Absolutely the best breakfast! All ingredients super fresh and cooked well! Super staff and price was amazing!
Excellent food and large portions. A popular spot so get there sooner than you think is needed.

Cold beer - great food - friendly people
Was back in Southern Indiana for a wedding and needed some dinner. Stopped by Fleig's and got some chicken tenders and German fries. And oh, those German fries! Reminded me of home cooking, tender potatoes and onions fried to perfection. The chicken tenders seemed to be hand breaded and were juicy on the inside. A little too heavy on the breading for me, but most people would enjoy them that way. Next time we're back in Ferdinand, I'll order their fried chicken, supposed to be pretty good.
We stopped by for a few drinks...Blake and Jill were excellent behind the bar. The place was full...great local hangout!
Pleasant surprise! Menu was limited for lunch because the dining room is closed but there is seating at tables in the bar. The breaded chicken was excellent and my aunt was very impressed with the steak burger.
Great food, beer and atmosphere.
Amazing fried chicken and the price is right...try the turtle soup you won't be disappointed
Hiked a few miles at nearby Ferdinand State Forest, made a pit stop here on my way home. Asked for the chili but was told they weren't making it that day so I was offered noodles instead. Excellent choice. Tasty, hot, served with crackers and a cold beer, perfect after a long walk. Friendly staff too. I look forward to my next visit.
Great as always, always treated as a regular even though we are not.
We were in town running some errands, had never been here before, thought we'd stop in on a local restaurant. We got there at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and the dining room was not opened but the bar section was open for dine in, but you could only get sandwiches, you couldn't get an entree or a platter. So my wife ordered a breaded tenderloin, served on white bread, and I ordered what is called on the menu, a Steakburger. To start with the breaded tenderloin was a small round frozen thing, nearly tasteless. My Steakburger wasn't a whole lot better, in fact I am not sure it was better at all. They had a choice: you could order a cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, or steakburger and then add cheese for 25 cents. I ordered the Steakburger, it was big and thick and I had great expectations, until I bit into it. The taste was not bad, but the texture was just almost unedible. I don't even know how to describe it. It had a dense texture and weird in the mouth. It seemed like they compress the patty so hard, trying to make it into the illusion that it was a piece of steak. The fries were crinkly fries, the small thin kind I like. The service was friendly, the place was old and a little crammed up with cases of beer sitting everywhere, so I don't know, I wouldn't try it.
Came in for lunch during a work event. Friendly staff and great food. Would come again.
