Love Shimoji! As someone who moved the area a few years ago from a bigger city with a Starbucks on every corner, Shimoji is my new favorite. I'm honestly bummed anytime I go out of town now and getting Shimoji isn't an option. The staff is friendly and helpful and the coffee is fantastic!
The best little coffee place in the country! Everything is homemade - not just the pastries, but even the syrups and the whipped cream as well. They use local ingredients, the coffee beans are roasted and ground right here in town, so you are always sure to receive the freshest batch possible. If this wasn’t enough, the baristas are absolutely top-notch - both in kindness and a willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommend this wonderful drive-thru, whether you visit the Vandalia or Greenville location, you will not be disappointed. (On a side note, dairy-free options are also offered!)
They use to be decent for coffee in this small town. I can't wait until Scooter's moves here, they are waaaaay better and better prices too. I just ordered 3 lattees for $17 and got three instant coffees instead. She didn't even touch the espresso maker and we watched her put instant coffee in it. It's why there are always coffee grounds in the bottom of it now. It taste like garbage. She got them out a lot quicker than normal but not worth it. 🤢🤢🤢
Found this place on WAZE, while on a road trip. Great decaf latte and prices are reasonable. Friendly staff. Will stop again as I often go through this area and can ever find good decaf.

Great coffee right off route 70! Lots of milk alternatives (oat, almond, soy, coconut). Highly recommend
Received a gift certificate for Christmas and wasn't sure what this place was about? I really do like the convenience of their drive thru service. The gal who waited on me was very courteous and told me I could buy fleshly ground coffee or buy it by the cup. So I bought a pound of fresh ground and it smells great. Tastes even better. Will definitely buy from them again. So if you like freshly ground coffee do yourself a favor and go to Shimoji Coffee. I also saw they have other drinks available like smoothies. This place gets a big thumbs up 👍 from me. When I run out of this bag, I'm heading back to Vandalia for more.
I love this coffee! They customize for me. They also have a great hibiscus tea that is to die for! This place boba and a ton of great drinks.
Consistently good coffee. I get the Mocha with 4_shots and it always tastes great.

The matcha latte was delicious and the price was great. It's not too far from the interstate and the double drive-thru was a great design choice. Both workers were friendly and swift.
Best hot or cold coffee around. Starbucks has nothing on them and it's better
I got a Carmel Americano in a banana muffin, all amazing and found out that the baked goods are made in house 10 out of 10 recommend
I specifically stopped in Vandalia on the way back to St. Louis a few weeks ago but it was a weekday morning and the line was long and I couldn't tell if it started across from the diner or closer to the dental office, so I just got drip coffee elsewhere. Today (Saturday) I tried again and found out that there are drive thrus on BOTH sides of the building, so that's why I saw cars in line from multiple directions. I got the caramel apple latte with almond milk and it was exactly like fall in a to-go cup. I'll be back now that I know I can get on line from either direction!
First time here, Staff was very nice and iced caramel late was amazing! When in the area again will definitely make a point to go back
