Happy to get gluten free toast and pancakes here! The food was great.
Great home style food. Little strange that they serve ribs as a breakfast item, but my family says that they are great!
I had to wait over 40 minutes for my food to come out. I love moms and pops restaurants. I will never return.
Wonderful experience. Ate breakfast at Cook's. I tried their egg and meat combo with a side of red chili (made my own breakfast shoe). The homemade sourdough bread was delicious. The corn beef hash was the perfect combo of crispy and soft. I loved the red chili and can't wait to try the others. This was my 1st time giving this place a try, but it will not be my last. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Cook's Spice Rakc & Chili is a must. I had briskey with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Everything was done exactly as ordered and the staff is wonderful. This is a small, home-style location that is friendly and worth every penny. Highly recommend.
I love to eat here. My mom and I used to eat there many times when she was alive. She loved it too.
We went for dinner tonight. I was definitely not impressed with the food. The Brisket was 90% fat. Ordered Lemon Meringue pie, it wasn't. It was Coconut cream. The quality of food wasn't worth the money. I understand it's a mom & pops restaurant. I wish the best for thist place. But, I won't be back. The food has gone down hill, badly.
Stopped in Springfield IL and had some fantastic Donna's Mean Green Chili and Smoked Pork Chop for breakfast with two eggs and jalapeño toast! It was fantastic! I highly recommend stopping in.
It is a cozy family place where even the other customers are super friendly. The food was great and we will definitely go back.

What a great place to eat! Awesome prices, delicious all made from scratch food! The smoked Pork Steak is amazing! Very friendly, and attentive staff we got samples of three different things from the kitchen! Highly highly recommend, will definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Just found my new favorite breakfast. The food was great, the staff and owner were super friendly. Great service. THEY HAVE GRITS. Plan on coming back to check out the rest of the menu. Homemade soups and chili's. How can you beat that for a cold day. Can't wait to try them. If you haven't been you really need to check them out. Support our locals.

Diverse menu and good food.
So glad to see one of my favorite restaurants back open. Always friendly service, and their smoked meats are simply amazing. Looking forward to seeing more spices and hot sauces on the rack in the lobby.
