Their fried chicken was so juicy and very good and reasonable. And their pie is awesome!

We were just traveling through and stopped for some pie and they did not disappoint. I got the warm pecan chocolate chip pie. If you can imagine the best chocolate goey brownie you've ever tasted, add the pecan crust with ice cream on top woohoo it was so good!

Smelled a mix of nursing home and barn yard soon as I opened the door. The bathroom was also disgusting and smelled of urine. They've got a vinyl plank floor in a bathroom! I can only imagine how much pee had run underneath that floor. Sat down to find out they only took cash. Was very thankful that everyone wanted to leave.

We saw the sign for Foot High Pie and had to come. We got 2 banana slices to go and they were delicious! Keep in mind this is a cash place, the lady allowed me to venmo her. Definitely will be back when traveling this route!

Excellent food and service. Gives a country grandma homestyle vibe. The bell pepper soup is amazing! Must try! Fair warning: bring cash or check. ATM is available for a $3.50 fee.

This is my go to for fried chicken. Everything is always cooked fresh to order and the family style is my favorite. The mashed potatoes and gravy I literally crave at least once a month. My son loves the fried walleye and tried the fried livers today as an appetizer and man everything they have is delicious. Great service, staff is always super friendly. I have been going here for 20 plus years.

Just not good pie. Meringue was weepy, custard was chunk. So sad. I was so excited to go.

Stopped through on a road trip after always seeing the signs and that they were featured on the Food Network. Didn’t see signs anywhere about it being cash only, which was mildly inconvenient. Ended up placing an order to go and the food was extremely bland and had zero flavor. We also got a pie, but the entire crust was just soggy and the bottom was filled with liquid. Not appetizing at all. Probably won’t come back after that experience.

Great food, all dinners are $9.95 and come with two sides. The real reason to stop here is the pie. They typically have five or six kinds of fruit pie kinds of meringue pies. Always good food

Best cod & walleye around. The family style dinner is great! Oreo cheesecake was to die for. Unfortunately, it's not served daily. I was lucky to get it a couple of times in the past. They used to sometimes serve cheesecake on the weekends, but I haven't seen any in months, so maybe they stopped. I'm not a pie person, but I hear the pies are great!

I just had Lunch at this place and everything was good. I wasn't feeling well so I was craving a soup. I order a chicken noodle soup and it was surprisingly flavorful with enough chicken. Then I had a slice of apple pie that was delicious 😋 the staff was friendly and the atmosphere is very relax.

Had seen Blue Spring Cafe's signs for Mile High Pies or Foot High Pies for at least 20 years but had never stopped. Was traveling with another couple and I mentioned Mile High Pies and they said yes. Servers and cashiers are friendly. Service is family style - rolls, pickled beets, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and gravy come in bowls for the table. Two of us got the walleye, one got ham steak, I got lasagna. All portions were huge and everyone took home something (as did half the people at the next table over). The walleye was good reheated the next day on parchment paper at 350 in a convection oven for 10 minutes. The lasagna was mediocre reheated in a microwave oven. The other couple got a slice of blackberry pie to split while the spouse and I split a slice of blueberry - tasty! We had had choices of about 12-14 different pies to pick from. Be forewarned - cash only - no debit/credit cards.
