The only thing wrong with Common Grounds is that it's so nice people don't want to leave. We'll plan on enjoying the patio next time.

I absolutely loved this place! Well worth the visit, the staff were all so friendly, the food was excellent, and the cherry pie was the best I've ever had.

There was a line when we got there at lunch time, it moved very quickly though and after ordering the wait for our food was short. The Power bowl I got was really good, a bit more than how much I would like to pay for it though. With the limited access to good quality food away from Bloomington that is understandable. I also got a frappe that was good. The seating can be limited if it is a busy day, the outdoor seating was lovely though. Good pick for food in the Gridley or El Paso area, one of my only preferred places around so far. Edit- went again today and had a similar experience, food was good and came out fairly quick. We sat inside this time and they had decorations for the season out. We had a group of 6 and we sat around the large center table. My experience here has been consistently positive! Edit 2- Consistency is a strength here from my visits. They have good food, shortish wait times, and a lovely atmosphere. Still a solid recommendation.
Excited to see the reveal of the new space. Lovely place to enjoy a moment alone or with a friend. Yummy choices to be had.

This is such a great place to stop for lunch or coffee. My friends and I live 30mins away and common grounds is still one of our go-to spots. Very friendly staff and great owners.
