Horrible worst latte I ever had!
Food is amazingly good as is the coffee and great quiet, friendly atmosphere.
New art on the walls today and awesome coffee as usual. Try the turkey sandwich for lunch.
Visited multiple times during a recent trip to Edwardsville. The iced chai was delicious. Iced dirty chai was also delicious. Really friendly staff, and an overall nice vibe. Glad I stopped in!
Sacred Grounds is an adorable little coffee shop! It has a good vibe - games and books to occupy your time while waiting on your order. I ordered an iced honey lavender latte and the avocado toast - both were delicious! I think it was the best avocado toast I've had!
Worst restaurant on Main Street! Unbelievably bad!
Neat place.First but not last visit.
We had a guest from out if town who loved this place. As a special surprise, we took her there yesterday (3-17-23). We walked to the counter to order at 12:57 pm only to be told "the kitchen closed at 1:30, what would we like to order?" As she watched my husband look at his watch, she stuttered and said, " the kitchen closed at 1:00- every day." We explained we brought our friend for lunch and the actual website says they serve until 2:00 Again she said the kitchen was closed-,what would we like. There was nothing said of running out of food causing the kitchen to close. She reiterated " we close the kitchen everyday at 1:00.". We had come from 35 min away and our friend missed enjoying our surprise. There was no empathy nor warmth from the staff member. Very disappointing.

We have been going religiously on weekends to sacred grounds for brunch in the past couple months and the food there is so delicious!Their muffins are amazing and we love the weekend specials! Definitely recommend this place.
Every meal we order is even more delicious than the last! Our family LOVES their family style meals to go, and looks forward to what it will be each week!

Update since last year: It’s sad to say but shortly after the new owner took over this place went down hill. The bakery is terrible, and the drinks are disgusting now. I’m not sure if they switched to cheaper syrup or what but the last 10 times I’ve gone it’s been so disappointing. The pumpkin bread is dry and has hard pieces all throughout. Super upsetting. Last year: Amazing treats my favorite being the pumpkin bread and pecan bars and amazing drinks I love the turtle dove a hot espresso type beverage with hazelnut caramel and chocolate flavor and what a cool atmosphere and nice workers! My all time favorite cafe!
Has the best vegan biscuits and gravy Ive ever had! Most things can be made vegan which is so unique in Edwardsville. Not to mention the amazing coffee and helpful baristas! One of my top favorites in town.
I absolutely LOVE this place! Great service, coffee is always fresh and hot, and they have the best avocado toast in town! Such a cozy and friendly atmosphere....Definitely the best coffee shop around.
The food is absolutely amazing!! The biscuits & gravy are one of my go-to favorites for breakfast, as well as the oatmeal & the lunch menu has great options too! The owner goes above & beyond to create a great experience & support her community & the coffee beverages are excellent! I have a sweet tooth like many & her homemade pastry case is second to none! Try the scones!!
The food here is great and the vibes are always immaculate! There’s a nice variety of items in the pastry case and the drinks are also delicious. There’s usually plenty of seating if you want to stay awhile and get some work done which is also nice. My personal favorite on the breakfast menu is the biscuits and gravy! 🤠
This has been a staple of me and my fiancé for years. The staff is always so welcoming and kind-i think of it as a safe space in town where you always know you’ll feel at home and get a fantastic coffee too. Now let’s talk about the food: as a frequent customer, I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it is ALL good. My favorites include the eggplant panini for lunch and the avocado toast for breakfast. But if you don’t try the biscuits and gravy (vegan or regular), you’re literally insane. The owner also takes great care in creating her weekend specials and really catering to her customers. All the specials are so wonderfully prepared, but if it’s a croffle (croissant waffle) or chorizo weekend, RUN don’t walk and get you some. Basically, get to Sacred Grounds today!
