Nice atmosphere, affable staff, good selection of hot and cold drinks. I always get a lot of work done at Peet's.
Great place to get good food and beverages while relaxing in a comfortable place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Great coffee. The best cappuccino of any chain.
Friendly and quick service
This is such a neat Peet's Coffee location right at the corner of the intersection. There is a good amount of seating and the employees were friendly and welcoming. The Vanilla Latte tasted great!
Regarding Peet’s Coffee (Downtown Downers): Very upsetting experience at Peet’s today. I am always visiting friends in Chicago, so today a friend decided to visit me in Downers. I brought her to Peet’s for coffee and to see our downtown. Within 10 minutes of sitting and getting ourselves settled, the manager asked if we were waiting for someone. We kindly replied no and he said he was just checking in. I did not see him approach any other patrons. About 10 minutes later, my friend and I had decided on purchasing some waters to start, and were looking over the different coffees. The manager approached our table once more and asked if we’d be buying anything. I asked if this was a requirement, and if there was signage we’d missed and he said no, but “this is a business”, and he’s running a business so we can’t just sit here. He also informed us that “Peet’s is cracking down on college students”. (I and my friend are about 10 years post college, but thanks for the compliment) For an establishment where half of the staff is wearing political statements on their aprons, it surprises me that “cracking down on college students” and turning away those who take a little longer to pick a coffee is so high on the list of tasks. Very odd and non hospitable behavior that I wouldn’t expect of any business, yet alone a neighborhood coffee shop. I recommend visiting Starbucks across the tracks (staff is friendly and inviting), or getting on the train to Chicago for a unique, inviting cafe visit in the future. The manager has done a terrific job of making sure my business does not return.
Fast service, sandwich and drink was amazing
The place has a great ambiance, the barista was beautiful and had a wonderful smile. The coffee ( vanilla latte is 4/5). The service and the smile earned you 5 stars 🤩. Keep up the good work 👍.
So much better than the ordinary Starbucks.
Awesome hot coffee. Enjoyed it too much!
Great place to read or work while enjoying good coffee
Closed an hour before posted time. Wasted trip!
The hot chocolate is amazing, not a lot of options in food. Serves regular, clean place.
Excellent service , knowledgeable. Friendly staff. Great product
such a cute place to come and study/work. great experience coming in after not being in for so long. they were sold out of twist i wanted but the barista was so kind in offering other options and letting me know when to come back when it’s in stock! also was informed with the rewards app and all the benefits! the vibes here are a 10/10.
Very rude employees. We were entering, and the women shouting at us, we are closed, not serving. Never had that kind of experience. Avoid.
Order a cortado. Well made. Rich, delicious, better than chocolate. Bravo for the barista!! The coffee is among the very best coffee EVER.
One of my favorite local coffee places, although a little on the higher side, the coffee is always good and the people there are always very friendly!
I love this Peet's Coffee location in Downers Grove. I have been to this location many times for meetings, both work and personal. The ambience is very welcoming, and the staff are always very respectful and efficient. I also like that they have outdoor tables, which allows for different options for folks for social distancing etc., that feel more comfortable with outdoor dining. There are, however, two small reasons I chose to give 4 stars instead of 5. One is that the prices are a little on the high side (in my opinion)- but nothing shocking for what you expect to pay at a café. I also don't like that they have a passcode on the bathrooms. I understand this is often to discourage non-paying customers (and often times, people experiencing homelessness)- to not utilize their restroom, however, I wish that public spaces, restaurants, and cafes would not put codes on their bathrooms. Otherwise, thank you!
Normally I'm in the Starbucks infrastructure, but I came to try out a "2Good2Go" app that lets you buy a bag of leftover food. Unfortunately, someone else had picked up the food I ordered. But the manger went out of his way to "make good:" putting the last remaining pastries in a bag for me, and pouring a fresh coffee as well. The problem was caused by the app and not by the store, so the shift lead went well above and beyond.
