One of the best coffee shops around! The food is incredible. Can’t wait for the chicken salad to return.

This hole in the wall cafe is THE BEST!!! I have been coming here with my boyfriend on the weekends since they opened. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the pastries, but the guava and cheese is to die for! They have the best cafe con leche I’ve ever had. The owners and barista always greet us with a warm welcome so walking a few block in the cold months is well worth it!! I just wish they were open more days in the week so i can have my guava and cheese lol!

I've always seen this place when doing food deliveries and today I had the chance to stop by. Unfortunately it was closed 😔 BUT the owners were there and they made me a cup of coffee they opened their store for a few minutes just for me. Can't thank you enough and best believe I'll come back on the weekend can't wait to try your pastries. I highly recommend this place this 10 times better than Starbucks. Support your local coffee shop! And to the owners: thank you once again I felt welcomed. Muchas gracias!!

Good things often come in scruffy packages. It's no Starbucks to look at but the coffee drinks are better by a mile. The owners and relatives work the counter. They are knowledgable and very friendly. They roast on site so be sure to pick up some of their Brazilian and Colombian espresso beans. It is the best espresso in Chicago and I have tried them all.

For several years, this has been the only coffee my wife and I drink. They have a nice variety of flavors and you can buy the coffee at several grocery stores like Fresh Farms, Valle and Cermak Produce. The coffee shop itself has great pastries, but they sell out quickly!

I’m afraid to write a review of how good this place is because I’m worried I’ll wait longer to get my coffee on weekends lol. This is an absolute neighborhood gem. The cafe con leche (hot & iced versions) are THE best I’ve had…like ever. It’s made Cuban style with honey and agave which is the only way I want my coffee now. Customer service 10/10, pastries (legit all of them) 10/10. Family ran which is even more amazing. The only downside is that they’re only open on weekends so please support these guys so they can hire more people to work weekdays so that I can spend more money and drink more amazing coffee every day of the week :). Thanks for everything TOC!

I would give this gem of a spot more stars, if I could. Ordered the coco cream cold brew off the specials menu today. Paired perfectly with the warmed pan de bono (cheese bread.) I only wish they were open more days so I could spend more money. Thanks, TOC!

Excellent tasting coffee and pastries! Everything is done in house from roasting the beans to making the pastries. Try the Tortilla Espanola! 😋

Alright I can’t explain how but this is legit the best coffee place to get coffee and pastries . I already had a top three but this just became my number one spot to get coffee now. Their iced café con leche was good af (with oak milk). My girlfriend got the iced brown sugar coffee and she loved it. I will be a returning customer. I wish it open later but maybe the owner will reply as to why but god damn the coffee is great.

I’ve been living in Portage Park 2 years now. Usually go to portage grounds for my coffee or tea fix with a little snack on the side. This place is authentic and truly Unique. You cannot get fresher coffee than this. It’s truly a gem. Love it!!!
