When I tripped over on the sidewalk outside here, they couldn't have been more helpful. The service here was amazingly great. They are such lovely people.

Such a shame this place used to be so good! Went here everyday and got the same thing. Love a pour over coffee from a proper coffee shop which is what this place claims to be. I went in today and ordered my pour over and she said we don’t have that. I literally told her I got a pour over the last 3 days and saw the equipment to do so sitting on the counter. There is literally nobody else in line and the three staff members are all standing around chatting. The cashier looks to the guy and girl “in charge” and they literally look at me and say “yeah I’m not doing a pour over” (not, I can’t do a pour over because they could), I won’t… this is absurd. It’s insane how lazy people have become and how rude. They would rather stand around talking and without any customer service at basically say yeah no we are just gonna stand here. What an awful experience.

Great coffee and very nice staff. In a great part of the city and has a decent in house sitting area. I didn’t eat anything, but the food did look very good. Would recommend this place to anyone in the Loop.

Very tasty bagel sandwiches and a pretty solid coffee. Just wish there was plates and mugs for those who dine in vs only take away.

Very good coffee, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. The 2 ladies working the front were very friendly and very efficient. There was a large group of customers that came in very shortly after we sat down, and they knocked out their orders super quickly and with smiles on their faces - dancing and singing. We were very impressed.

The large Costa Rica coffee and the Smooth Criminal were a great breakfast combo! Delicious!

Wonderful and friendly staff, delicious bagels and coffee and spectacular vibes. Somehow when you’re in here it feels like the rest of the city doesn’t exist and you’re free floating in coffee heaven. Can’t recommend enough.

Stopped at Hero Coffee Bar for a pourover the other day. I tried several coffee shops in the area and this was one of my favorites. There were several pourover options and the one I chose was great! I didn't try any food options but those were available. This was a popular place in the early afternoon hours on the day when I visited. Service was great - I will return here again!

Environment and staff are super cool. Good and reasonably priced coffee. Haven't tried their food yet, but having actually breakfast items instead of just pastries, look very good.

I tend to avoid this place on the weekends after around 930 because they tend to run out of stuff, it starts to take a while to order breakfast, and the tiny storefront gets cramped. Otherwise, I love this place for an opportunity to grab some non Starbucks coffee and avocado on toast except the toast is a bagel.

We stopped here to grab coffees and breakfast to eat on our drive out of town. We ordered the chocolate cherry latte specials. I don't know if they just ended up making us plain lattes instead, but they were the most awful, flavorless coffees we've had in our life. We were so disappointed, I don't think we even finished them! The breakfast sandwiches were better than our drink experience, but nothing special to write home about. For a $35 breakfast to go, I would never come back here to be honest. I hope we just had a fluke bad experience, the other reviews made us excited to try this out.

Such a great atmosphere- lots of options to customize your latte - I got matcha with cherry syrup - they have meat and diary alternatives as well. This location in specific has four tvs and cute lights up - will be coming back! Side note - the barista this morning was amazing

A bustling cafe in South Loop with a decently sized seating area (ideal for small groups of 2-3 or individuals) and large assortment of drink and food options. It has a great social vibe and ambience with a few bar seats, flatscreen TV screens throughout, music playing loudly, and a selection of free boardgames to play. There’s a LOT of stimuli and noise overall, so it’s not an ideal place to do work/studying that requires focus, though it’s nice to get some light work and reading done. For coffee, I just got a medium roast “fast coffee” ($2.77) which was quite good— the flavors were bold, diverse, and delectable. I definitely would want to come back to try their creative latte options and bagels. Overall, the prices are pretty fair especially for the area (one of the cheaper cafes for both drinks and food in the Loop). I came at around 11:30am on a Saturday and stayed until closing (2pm)— it was not super busy when I arrived and I was able to get a table easily. By around 12pm, it got a lot busier with longer lines and waits… so come earlier if you want to snag a seat before peak times. I was a big fan of their music playlist the entire time I stayed: mostly chill R&B and rap playing (think: Jhene Aiko, Ice Spice, SZA, HER, Doja Cat, Steve Lacy, etc.) — Price (relative to peers): 5/5 Coffee: 4.5/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 Suitability for Work/Study: 2/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5

Usually like this coffee shop, but this Tuesday morning the music was blaring LOUD. My ears were hurting. Usually a bunch of people are sitting at the tables in the morning, but when I got there almost no one was in the cafe. Hardly a surprise when it's so loud... People working this shift should consider the long-term effects on their hearing --- and are the owners really cool with this?

This place is a great little place to hangout or if you need some coffee on the go. The Smooth Criminal bagel sandwich is the bees knees!

This place was fabulous! I got a sesame bagel with fig jam, bacon, egg, goat cheese, basil and Sriracha and it was perfectly sweet and savory and spicy! Also had the lavender latte and it was not too sweet and well balanced! Highly recommend!
