Nice coffee, and nice workers there. Good to work in your laptop.
Cute place to relax, or work and nice coffee. But if you are between trains and on a time crunch, probably not your best bet!
The bagel sandwiches are AMAZING. I also love their unique coffee options, I’m always trying something new, I enjoy all their drinks with orange and chocolate flavorings. The interior is cozy and quite spacious, so lots of people study/work on laptops here. Board games galore. Very fun and eclectic place :)
👋🏻 Hey fellow Google Maps users! ☺️ I went to this coffee spot/cafe on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 for a remote work day. I stayed from around 10 am - 3 pm. The lady that took my order was very nice. Unfortunately, they don’t have lemons so they were out of lemonade. I decided to give one of their teas a shot. I tried their apricot black tea. I’m a pretty picky person and didn’t end up liking it. Maybe tea isn’t for me. 😭 ☕️ Overall, I had a good experience at this spot. It gave me cozy vibes. They even had board games and puzzles. The music was played at a very good volume, somewhat loud enough for you to hear it as background music, but not too loud. The cushioned bench I sat at wasn’t the most comfortable and didn’t seem to be the most sturdiest. I was able to successfully get my work done and meet 2 of my students in person. I definitely plan on coming back here if I meet with my students again in person. ✨ Extra things that I felt like were cherries on top to my experience being here. I saw the cutest wiener dog ever and the lady that took my order gave the doggie bacon. In the bathroom, the entire wall including the door was a chalkboard. I had to represent the non-profit I work at, College Possible. 💌 I hope this review helps Emerald City Coffee & its current and future customers. Have a nice day! ☺️
I got an iced Americano, which normally comes with 4 shots at 16 Oz! I asked for 3. Intense but good! The banana bread was delicious! I went on a Friday at 10:30 and it was packed. Lucky to have found a spot to sit.
Terrible place, awful food, & rude employees. I came here while on shift in the ambulance with my partner in the summer of 2021 & the service we got was pathetic. My partner wanted their coffee done in a specific way & the employee was giving them a hard time. They're not asking you to rob a bank, so why is it so hard to make someone's coffee a little different? I also wanted some breakfast tacos but they were sadly pre-made. Talk about terrible quality. I'm glad I have not been back here in nearly two years. This place doesn't deserve my money.

I came in to order a chai tea. The shop was not busy. It took them 20 minutes to make the tea. Ridiculous! To their benefit, they offered me a pastry. However, I would’ve preferred a refund. The tea was lukewarm and bland. I’m not sure I will give them another opportunity. It’s too bad because they are a local business.
Friendly, cozy atmosphere and great, reasonably priced coffee. If you’re in Sheridan Park, you HAVE to stop in!

Just moved this from my want to go to favorites. Really cool staff and reasonable prices. The coffee was decent but the date bar was very tasty and unique. I didn’t get to hang out for long but the eclectic decor and overall vibe is cozy.
This is a pretty good coffee spot. They have nice sitting areas and baked goods, but the oat milk they use isn't very good. It's a nice place in the neighborhood, but there are better coffee shops in Chicago.
I always drink same thing and always get charged differently. PS teach your barista what kids temperature means it’s not supposed to be boiling hot!
Genuinely good coffee. Quiet room in the back door getting work done. Really a wonderful spot.
Emerald City's muffins are the best! Fresh & tasty. The barista/cashier today (Wednesday afternoon) is very patient & helpful

Great local spot. This place makes supporting local business easy. If you go in the morning you can usually snag one of their breakfast tacos. They have three options, one of which is vegetarian. I would recommend the super taco and definitely get the salsa:)
Great coffee and improved breakfast snacks! You have to try the blueberry and chocate chip muffin.
My favorite coffee in the area. Every barista and person at the counter is nice. It's my exact type of atmosphere. Very cute spot. Breakfast tacos were underwhelming.
Great coffee space with very reasonable prices. Not a wide selection of food, so I wouldn't go there for a full meal, but for coffee, it's ideal. The coffee drinks are always solid.
