Selfishly I want to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good to not tell people about. Owned and run by the nicest people, and being inside feels like what I imagine being in a local cafe in Bosna might feel like! The burek is consistently great - especially the krompiruša (potato filled). For the price, you get a huge portion, always freshly made and perfectly seasoned. I will keep coming back :) Anytime I bring this burek for someone, they always say it’s the best they’ve had in the states.
My husband and I love Café Drina for the byrek (meat and cheese pies). He is from Albania; he is a hard critic, and he still likes them!! They are a very generous size, and the seasoning is very good. It is a small, local family business, and the chef is very kind and hospitable.

Stopped in with my Dad many years ago and enjoyed a great dinner and my first tastes of burek, cevapi, and Turkish coffee (and first time I heard a Hanka Paldum recording playing in the background - very nice). Nothing elaborate, just simple atmosphere, simple menu, and simply excellent food and friendly service. Very memorable and glad to see it's still doing well and getting great reviews. Include another one from me!
Drina is my favorite place to go to for Bosnian food. Whatever you get, it will be fresh and it’ll taste like heaven. It’s that delicious comfort food made by women who make you feel like they’re your aunt or your grandma. Very hospitable and consistent with quality and taste. I cannot recommend enough!

Pretty decent place to have some traditional Balkan / Bosnian food. I usually get the burek and its great. Ćevapi are good. Believe its a cash only joint.
By Far the Best Spinach pie Burek that exists in Chicagoland!! It’s tastes & looks just as phenomenal if not better then picking one up back home in Montenegro or Bosna!! Highly recommend this place & the people that run it. Thank you! 👍
