It’s pretty small, but if you can get a seat it’s good to work from. Pour over Ethiopian I had was great. Very floral with a nice sweetness. Decaf Columbian beans I picked up were also great, very sweet with a slight fruit background. Overall solid shop.
Great place to get a pour over coffee. The staff is amazingly kind. I grabbed a couple of bags and the beans are incredible, the Kenya beans are great for any pour over method and the Brazil were really good for espresso (Flair Method). I will try to stop by next time I’ll be in town.

I want this cold brew on tap in my house. Balanced, yet strong. Like a jaguar in the trees. The pastries were also delicious. Star baker for whoever made them!

I already loved Coffee Lab, easily top 3 coffee shops in Chicago. Great neighborhood vibe, housemade syrups, and fantastic coffee beans. I make my own lattes at home with homemade syrups, and this still feels like a treat! On top of that, my wife and I got 2 coffees and a bag of beans last weekend, and after we got our coffee, we forgot our bag of beans (I didn’t realize until a few days later). BUT, I saw on my credit card statement that they refunded me the beans we left. Great coffee, great vibes, and great customer service :)

Cozy coffee shop with awesome selection of beans and a super cute stop to post up for a couple hours of work. Delicious selection of pastries and creative drinks such as the Chagachino (mushroom, coffee and cacao!). Will definitely stop by here more

One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had in chicago. I got a hazelnut latte with oat milk. It was roasted, perfect amount of sweet but strong still and not tainted and artificial like most places when they put flavor syrups. I hate that they are only open 7-1 and I don’t live in the area. 5/5!
Highly Recommend: will definitely be back. Chill place with really good drinks. Their lattes are not very sweet and have a light nuanced flavor. I personally really enjoyed the few seasonal I had like popcorn and brown sugar cinnamon. Also, I liked that they have their own roasted coffee beans they sell. Will be stopping here more often.
Caramel latte was phenomenal. Technique on the pour over was on point. Overall impressive and can't find better.

Coffee Lab is one of the best coffee places I’ve ever been to (and I’m obsessed with coffee!!) I used to be a barista myself so I’m kind of particular but they’re coffee and technique is amazing. They are also extremely kind and accommodating. This is such a joy in my daily life.
Was in the area having brunch at Batter & Berries with my fiancé. Usually not too particular about getting coffee at brunch places and I saw Coffee Lab was just down the street so we decided to stop in after eating. I got a Kyoto cold brew while my fiancé went with the honey butter iced latte. Loved both our drinks! The Kyoto cold brew was nice to have 4 different options of roast to pick from. I went with the Brazilian medium-dark roast. Just the perfect boldness. I tried my fiancé’s honey butter iced latte and the honey added the subtle sweetness but the buttery note was just added that silky rich taste :chefs kiss: Definitely found my new coffee spot whenever I’m in Lakeview. Looking forward to trying all their different roasts and other drinks!
Simply put, if you are looking for good espresso, go somewhere else.
