Right across the street from our place for lunch, we found this great place for an even better cup of Java, roasted beans on site. Definitely a cool vibe inside, a comfortable outside seating area and very good coffee. Come here instead of spending your money at Starbucks and everybody wins!!

Pistachio Croissant was so good! Feta and Spinach Croissant was also good.

My favorite coffee shop. About to leave the neighborhood, and I will miss Umbria so much. Great quality, great drink options, nice place to chat or work, and surprisingly less expensive than many/most chains

This is THE BEST cappuccino I have ever had. Spectacular authentic Italian style.

This place is great. It`s a pity that I meet children, because they was a bit noisy, but I`ll come back because it`s worth it.

Always fantastic coffee, if a bit overpriced, right up the street, which is nice. It almost feels like a local coffee shop if it weren't in a giant warehouse with a full roaster attached to it and a bunch of merchandised coffee and that's really the best I can say about it. Don't get the pastries, they're all looks.

Staff sometimes close early. Do not come after 3:30.

You can definitely smell the coffee as you walk into this coffee shop. I went there to meet some buddies and play some mtg. The place is friendly and welcoming. I’m not a coffee drinker so I had a hot chocolate and cheese and sausage croissant. The croissant was delicious, but the place is definitely a coffee shop because their hot chocolate was terrible. The hot chocolate tasted like hot milk with a hint of chocolate. Overall the experience was nice minus the bad hot chocolate 4/5.

Love this place and have for years HOWEVER I have a dandruff allergy and with the amount of animal traffic in and out (very few if any of which are service dogs), it’s almost unbearable to sit and enjoy my latter & a pastry. My hope is that they will stop allowing animals inside if they are not service animals. I can’t help my allergies and it’s very frustrating when businesses don’t consider the number of people with allergies.

Really good coffeeshop in the Westloop. Very interesting and inspiring interior with stacked shipping containers next to a coffee roastery where you can see coffee been roasted while you enjoy your brown gold. The staff is fittingly hipstery / lovely upnosed. But they make perfect italian coffee and can provide you with delicious food items. I enjoyed my working hour with cafe latte and a egg and ham pastry. Not the cheapest way of getting a coffee but absolute worth it.

Fantastic coffee in great service from a friendly staff, hard to beat this new neighborhood spot. Except for the uncomfortable chairs!

Amazing coffee and wonderful little roastery. They have a deal where you get a free drink with the purchase of beans on Fridays.

A stop here is a must when walking my dog around the neighborhood in the morning. Umbria coffee beans are some of the best in Chicago, and I enjoy being able to get a fresh brewed cup of coffee and pastry in the mornings. They also have plenty of seating inside, as well as outdoors during summer. The best part is that my dog is welcomed inside with me while I make my order. I look forward to coming regularly ☺️

Lovely! The staff there are so kind and good to talk to. They introduced me to this European sipping hot chocolate drink. So exotic ! And when I sat down one of them sparked up a conversation about the drink itself. A delightful experience and amazing drink.

Neighborly and amiable, this is a lovely place for great coffee and victuals while you people watch or desire to get work done. Music is at a comfortable volume where you can read or have a conversation with someone without feeling like you must shout. A go-to spot to be out in community, yet be to yourself (if you choose).
