Nestled at the juncture of Avondale and Logan Square, just across the scenic park on Diversey and Avers Ave, lies Brew Brew Coffee. The moment you step inside, you're met with a harmonious blend of natural wood and woven fibers, creating an aesthetic that is both contemporary and inviting. The muted tan hues, complemented by the white marble tabletops, echo the soothing natural colors of the park outside. My choice of the day was their 16oz Horchata latte, a nod to their Tijuana roots subtly interspersed throughout their menu. Inside, the cafe is structured with ten two-person tables, some of which are a little too close to each other which can feel overwhelming. Accompanied by an upbeat modern pop soundtrack, the ambience is decidedly calm and relaxed, a refreshing urban oasis. However, I the more time I spend here, the more corporate elements I start to feel. Things feel just a little too polished and safe. One of the café's standout features is the window's unobstructed view of the lush park across the street — a rarity among city cafes and a tranquil respite from the urban bustle. However, while the menu wonderfully represents their Tijuana roots through a plethora of drink and food options, the interior of Brew Brew Coffee leaves a cultural impression to be desired. A TV playing ESPN seems oddly out of place, somewhat marring the otherwise consistent aesthetic and vibe of the café. In conclusion, Brew Brew Coffee charms with its clean, modern interior design, and a uniquely crafted specialty coffee menu. Yet, I find myself yearning for more of their cultural heritage to shine through in the decor, design, and music selection. A fusion of Tijuana and Chicago elements would provide a cohesive blend that enriches the customer's experience, making Brew Brew Coffee not just a café, but a cross-cultural journey in the heart of Chicago.

UPDATE 2023: The young latino lady at the register is so dry and not friendly at all. No humor, and lacks manners. Not a friendly place to come to anymore. I've worked with people like this in other places, and it doesn't get better. Very bad vibe that comes from her. I think I will scratch this place off my list. I don't recommend it anymore. This was my second attempt. I've been ordering here for a long time and this is the first. Very disappointed how much this place has change, I had to wait over 30 minutes for a bagle and lox and a medium Aztec mocha, which normally does not take more than 10 minutes. My whole lunch break wated ordering this, and there wasn't anyone here but me. Very disappointed.

I just started coming to the location in Avondale because it’s up the street from my house and it’s so lovely! Every special try latte I’ve tried is so tasty and their food and pastries are also so good/fresh. Excited to hang on the patio here this summer :)

I was at DOMS waiting for an appointment and I order an expresso coffee there. Great quality! But what really made the experience great was Zelda. She was so nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone!

I really love this coffee shop because they have great coffee but every single time I come to this location there can be three people behind the counter and you will have to wait thirty minutes for drip coffee - love this spot but it’s hard to give it a better rating. I tip the baristas every time and they know me I get the same thing yet I will still wait thirty minutes. Normally I don’t make ratings but just felt like it needed to be said because Brew Brew used to be very fast service and I can’t stand going in there anymore because the service is atrocious

Brew Brew is a neighborhood staple, the coffee and food are always delicious and they have a great selection of beans too. Plus it's across from Koz Park so dog-watching is top notch 😊

Best coffee spot on Diversey. The Cafe Miel Latte is delish. A little sunshine for the dreary gloomy days up ahead.

I'm a serious coffee addict, and this place has the goods. Their selection of sweet drinks is beautiful, and their seasonal decorations brighten our neighborhood, but what keeps me coming back is the damn fine coffee.

Great shop! The wait times are long and staff can be short during peak hours, but it's still worth a visit. It might be a good idea for there to be one person that only works the walk-up window, as the cashier did a great job, but seemed overwhelmed trying to work the window and the front counter. I'll be back!
