Nice clean cafe inside train station.
I stopped in to my FAVORITE coffee shop in the entire world during a quick trip to Chicagoland. Friendly, delicious, and a wonderful small business. My oat milk latte hits the spot.
Best coffee in town but put a sign or something if you close early. Sometimes you are open and one or two doors are locked out of four. Tried to get a coffee at 1:52pm and it was closed. It's fine to take a lunch break or get supplies but not ok to keep customers in the dark
The owner was really nice and I'm able to sit down and enjoy coffee
Love this place and the coffee is great. I think people need to realize this isnt starbucks but a small business. You are going to have to be patient with one person working. I usually go during non rush hour times but my experience has been good and fast. Just be careful around holidays because the doors can be locked with no signs. It doesnt bother me since I live close but please please put signs on all the doors if you are away or closed early near the holidays.
Never made it in the door. I was in town because I took my nephew to work and decided to work in town instead of driving ALL the back to Indiana and then driving back to McCook. I decided to call to see if they had wifi before heading there and the person who answered the phone just hung up on me. I'm sure this is a question they get often but even a rude "no" would've been better than a hang up. So...I called back thinking maybe it was a mistake but this person didn't bother to answer this time. I looked on Google for address and phone but it didn't say if they had wifi hence my phone call. If I bother you with a simple phone call, I do NOT want you to take my order nor my money. Bye!!
Great coffee and pastries. It also appears that on Saturdays they have live entertainment. There is plenty of free parking. A nice place to spend a hour.
My sister and I were very excited to visit this place because of the high ratings but it left us confused and disappointed. When we arrived there was only a lady working by herself and nobody else in the store. We ordered an iced Raspberry Truffle Latte and a decaf iced Salted Caramel Cream Latte. She was very quick and polite to take our order and starting making the drinks right away. We watched as she took the tops off the syrup bottles, fill the cups more than halfway up with syrup, added ice, then the espresso, and that didn't leave any room except for a splash of milk she struggled to pour without the cup overflowing. For reference, when making a standard latte the majority of the drink should be milk. At this point we still had a little bit of hope that maybe this lady would wow us with this unique latte making technique. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case and we were only able to drink a few sips before throwing away both lattes. It was not worth $9.90 and I would not recommend to anyone.
My husband and I frequent this place quite often and it's the perfect place to get an iced coffee! The choices for flavors are almost endless and the service is fast and friendly. I would go here over starbucks any day hahaha. Thanks guys for all your hard work and delicious coffees 🥰
Very nice restaurant with good breakfast.
First time there and it was amazing! I don't normally go to coffee shops this was a great idea! Relaxing atmosphere (and it's literally by the train). The coffee was great and the pastries where tasty and well made! I definitely recommend this for you coffee lovers out there. Did I mention the server was a complete sweetheart and made us feel welcome.
Friendly, cute spot. You'll feel at home there!
This is right by the train station so it's a great place to wait. There is a huge menu and a lot of room to hang out while you wait.
Great coffee ☕️
My favorite coffee shop! Friendliest owners, staff, and customers. If you visit regularly you will feel like family. Prices are less expensive than Starbucks, coffee and espresso drinks taste better than competition (even their drip flavors. Highlander grog is the best!), and you’re supporting a local business! Their reward program is really generous too! Buy 8 drinks and you get any medium sized drink free. Great place to meet up with someone for a chat or to use wifi in a change of scenery from working at home!
This is a really great place. I stopped in for a light breakfast snack and they had live music. The food and beverages are really fresh and delicious. The lady serving me was friendly and helpful. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be sure to stop in again.
I ordered the Killer Bee latte with Almond milk. It had honey, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Loved it! The variety and selection was great. Nice service and very sweet lady working the counter.
I had visited the Loca Mocha Cafe several years ago when they were based across the railway tracks on Brookfield Avenue. Decided to get a coffee at their present location which is inside the old waiting room of the Brookfield Metra station. The room has been totally gutted and very tastefully decorated. The beverages themselves are as good as any coffee shop that I have been to and the prices are reasonable. The room is very spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. They also have a rewards card that gives you a free coffee after nine visits. Highly recommended.
Cool little coffee shop. Reasonable prices (about $5 for espresso and cookie) and helpful staff. Espresso tasted ok and the cookie was good. They've really transformed this metra stop into a coffee shop!
Wonderful employees good service
