Cool coffee house. I really enjoyed the dark roast and the fresh muffins. It had a hip European coffee house feel with a welcoming sitting area that seemed to invite you to relax and take a break. I will be back for sure. Maybe next time it will be later in the day for a glass of wine!!! Well done.
Stopped in yesterday for a coffee with deep prayers that a real coffee shop had opened up on the south side. Sure enough Studious Coffee Shop DID NOT disappoint. I am so happy to have a place like this so close to home ❤️ The baristas were also really friendly to my son on his birthday! So excited to be a regular here from here on out!
Went there for the first time today and absolutely loved it. It’s dark and cozy which is perfect for a rainy day like today. The coffee is delicious and their pastries are to die for.
Just a head up -it’s not a service dog friendly or friendly coffee shop. You walk in and you aren’t greeted. While ordering I did notice the cashier looking at me weird. After I paid she told me dogs weren’t allowed. I told her he is a service dog, she said “I guess it’s okay” so I sat down. Then a man walked in and said dogs weren’t allowed I repeated he is a service dog. He said he wasn’t sure if it was a health code violation. At that point I was just very uncomfortable and not feeling welcome. The London fog was way too sweet. In response to owner: I was there first the line formed after me, he’s a service dog I never mentioned anything about emotional support. I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism in my dogs 10 years of life and he travels with me everywhere.
Support this business. My coffee was amazing, the vibe is perfect. So happy I found this place
Excellent coffee and service! Definitely will come back!
I usually buy my drinks and bakery items at the nearest dunking from this place, but after discovering this place, I have gone non-stop for their coffee and bagels. This place is by far one of the greatest places in Blue Island. It's a hidden jem with beautiful interior designs. If you go, try out the sea salt caramel latte. Iced or hot, you won't be disappointed.
The highlight of my day is stopping at Studious Cafe for a sea salt caramel latte or London Fog tea. Cozy, quiet atmosphere and beautiful remodel of an old paint shop. If I'm staying to chat with a friend, I love sitting in the retro comfy couch. Love the flamingo wallpaper and check out the bathroom too.
What a great little surprise! I followed Steph Bilottos recommendation to visit Studious and I am so glad! I had work to do and some time to do it while I waited for my son to do his retreat this morning. I packed my laptop and headed in. The staff is great. Stephanie is amazing. Her people skills and conversation was great! She recommended several things and I tried them all. The berry bagel with the special butter, YES! The Chai latte, YES! The Chocolate Chip Cookies, YES! The Iced tea, YES! The atmosphere was great, too! People coming in and out, some staying to work, some to chat...I loved it. I'll be back!
This is well rated for a reason. Menu is only a taste of what you can get. My wife asked for a custom matcha flavor and they whipped it up no problem. The ambiance is simple, clean, and sentimental for the owner Brian: a great guy. The drinks are delicious and better than most chain coffees and teas. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restroom is clean and well kept. There is plenty of seating. Go ahead and enjoy!
The cappuccinos were amazing as well as the bagel with honey butter. I mean, who doesn't love honey butter! I ordered 'for here' and enjoyed the ambience which was mid-century modern. Amazing place to relax!
Awesome local coffee shop.
Cute little coffee shop to hang out at. Staff is very friendly . My iced coffee was very good.
*Edited to add since the owner asked for it. I gave it a 3 star rating because it's middle of the road. I ordered a toasted blueberry bagel with honey butter and a lingonberry cold brew. For something labeled as a NYC bagel I honestly was expecting something more robust and flavorful. I was met with a flat tasting bagel. The honey butter was a big saver there and I really enjoyed that part of it. The cold brew was ok. Nothing wrong with it. It just tasted ok. I appreciate the thought that does come through with this shop. It does feel intentional especially with touches like compostable silverware and real plates. Obviously that comes with a price. All in all, when you have Starbucks prices, I would hope for something more than what I can, and have, made at home. My take away is it's not bad but it's not amazing knock your socks off. This shop has potential and I hope that it succeeds.
Delicioso!
Been wanting to visit here since it opened. What an awesome place! Very nice atmosphere, great customer service! I had a caramel chocolate chai tea and berry bagel with cinnamon honey butter, delicious! Loved this place!!!
Very cute, moody and warm coffee shop in Blue Island. It’s the perfect spot to get some work done and the Sea Salt Carmel Latte was perfect. They are a bit pricey but I’m happy to support this small independent cafe😋
I am so happy to have found this coffee shop through the search engine. The 5 stars reviews are accurate. This place is so cute and the service is great. What I love most is the Sea Salt Caramel Latte. Soooooo goooood! I had to get another 16 oz the minute I ran out. There is free wifi and this place is clean and friendly. The guests are friendly and helpful, too. I also had one of the cranberry/orange muffins. It was moist, yet the top was crispy with a hint of caramelized sugar. Great place to have a girls gathering. Too bad I live in Lincoln Park. This would be my daily-latte-pick-me-up instead of Starbucks.
Café fresco y delicioso
Tasty hot chai here, a very cozy environment! Love it.:)
