HASHBROWN SUPREME! It's the must have item, I have tried so many times all over the Northwest to locate a breakfast place that has anything even simular; long story short: IT CANNOT BE BEAT. Great prices. Huge portions. Awesome staff! They win awards all the time! Coming through Sandpoint, you have to stop here. Also there is enough room for RV and big rig parking[I have been in both here]
Food and service are excellent! Portions are huge Don't let the look of the outside fool you.
It’s my favorite breakfast spot in my favorite small town - what’s not to like? I usually get the eggs breakfast with a Woods smokie, hash browns but often swap the toast for a pancake or biscuits and gravy. Or get the Heathen Vegan. It’s all good!
Consistently yummy food! Hash browns supreme has changed a bit but still yummy. Local favorite for sure

Decent homegrown diner. Funky decor. I think the waitress forgot about us and my food was undercooked but I'll probably be back anyways. Usually a wait for weekend breakfast. The parking lot is a muddy hole filled mess. Great prices and a local legend.

Came to Sandpoint to escape for a night and my Lady suggested we go. Im so glad we did, the food was amazing. No wonder the place was packed.. id be a regular too if I was closer..
The Hoot Owl is our favorite place to eat in Sandpoint (Ponderay) :) always amazing food, staff, and people there.
Since the change of ownership there is no consistency and the quality is declining. I want my Loyal Vegsn potatoes the way Wendy made them. The revision is gross. Pimped oatmeal was rubbery and gross. Cut corners lose customers. And 3 of us won't be back.

I was once The Hoot Owls biggest fan. I do not know what happened. I used to enjoy the ride from Bonners Ferry to The Hoot Owl knowing we would get great food, and great service. I went in this .week. The hamberger pattie was terrible .it was like a hocky puck..And tasted like someone poured straight Salt over the whole meal.I personally will not be returning. As their food and service has plumited so far. I would not cross the street to eat there.
Was very pleasantly surprised my omelette was amazing!!! Loaded with meat and very reasonablely priced by today's standards was nice to be able to eat out and not spend $20 or more on just myself
