Never stayed at the Hotel. But my goodness, the food is the best comfort food I've ever had. 10/10 recommended. Even if you're just passing through, stop and get yourself a delicious and filling meal. The service is great, they are polite and very friendly. I'll be eating breakfast there tomorrow morning on my way back home. 😋
This place was straight filthy...refund was given.
Great food
I used to work here not to long ago with this new chick working who took my shifts doesn't know how to make a milkshake got it all melted not think whatsoever
The food is great huge burgers and friendly service.
Step back in time at this little Cafe. It was great to see most everything was still original. Lots of character!! Staff is the best. We could have sat there for hours visiting and having coffee.
Had a reservation for over six months. Even called earlier in the week to confirm a delivery for a FedEx package. At check in, I had no reservation. Even though the guy I was traveling with, did. The funny thing, I make all the reservations for our motorcycle trips. My package had been delivered. She had even acknowledged when I called earlier that I had a reservation. Miraculously, three days later I didn't have a reservation. One other employee let it slip that a "friend" had been given a reservation. I was offered a room across the street in a private home. I had no choice. The closest hotel was 13 miles away. The next morning I ordered an omelet. I was charged $19.75 for the omelet. I would definitely not recommend the motel, or the cafe.
We had breakfast during the week here. It was delicious. However, what really impressed me was the service. The ONE woman working wore every hat possible and she killed it.
We dine here every chance we get. Have eaten here since I was a kid, the hometown fries are amazing still has the same original cook who you could never replace. Miss waitress Lily....
As a child visiting my Grandparents Luise and Ruby Carpentor in Glens Ferry, Idaho Grandpa would take us kids to Hanson's Cafe for pope and burgers, sometimes we would just get ice-cream. Since my wife and I have moved to Moscow, Idaho we make the trip ones a year to stay at the Inn and put flowers on my grandparents and my mother's grave.
My sheets were covered with dog hair, the lady brought me clean sheets covered with cigarette burns. But at least they were clean.. but had no blankets all night. she flat admitted that she was needing to wash all the sheets and blankets cause the last person had dogs.. not to mention someone wiped a big booger on the head board. The owner should be ashamed, this place should be dozed to the ground..
If you're looking for a place to spend the night rather than a place to eat, be sure to read all of the negative reviews of this place. I wish I had! You'll notice a common theme running through many of the 1-star reviews: dirty and bed bugs. Thankfully, I didn't notice any bed bugs, but the room was filthy. The refrigerator was full of mold. The carpets looked and felt like they hadn't been vacuumed for days or weeks. The chair had stains all over it. The sheet had food stains on it. The shower took over 10 minutes to go from icy cold to scalding hot, and you couldn't adjust the temperature to be anywhere between. The shower wouldn't drain so I ended up standing in 3 inches of dirty water. Although Billy Jo, at the cafe, is helpful, if you only need a cheap place to spend the night, try to make it to the next town. Don't spend any time in this place. It's horrible. I posted photos in this review, but don't see them appearing on Google. You'd have to see it to believe how dirty this room was.
Really good food ,old school cool place ,excellent friendly employees, step back to a simpler America.
I've been going to Hansons Cafe for 20+ years. The food is good. The waitresses have always been fast, courteous, and friendly. I've stayed in the Hotel a few times firstly because our home in Hammett burned down. Thats when I really got to know the folks at Hansons. They helped us through a rough time. Also there is a nice full service bar with pool tables in the rear of the building. B-N-R bar.
Good people, slow service, soso food. Good atmosphere.
Had dinner. Clam chowder was good. Grilled tuna sandwich was the best. One person had the ruben. Everyone had a good meal.
Owner was very accommodating. We couldn’t find a room anywhere and this place had one left. The owner waiting late for us to arrive and was so helpful and nice! The motel is very cozy and clean. Staff and service were top notch! So grateful to have found this place! Cafe is delicious and has a great vibe!
This was a great little find! The room was cozy, Bobbie was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely remember this place the next time we're driving through. Check it out!
