You may remember the River Rock tavern in Eagle; the same competent management. A great place to take a break with friends and have some upscale pub grub!

The restaurant has an excellent healthy menu and great service. Their menu is just the right size to have something for everybody, and yet be able to focus on quality. I love the brie! The only downside is that I'm not a huge fan of their alcoholic beverage selection and hoping that they'll introduce some new cocktails.

On a recommend, we stopped in for a Friday night dinner and were not disappointed. We were greeted by name, sat at a comfortable table and offered spectacular service and dishes. Dawn was outstanding with her suggestions, attentiveness and all around local style and smile. Can’t say enough. I had the baked Brie and moved on to enjoy the short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies. Wow! I ordered a local hazy and discovered the beer list was mostly local breweries. FABULOUS! A local restaurant supporting local wineries and breweries. Topped it off with a chocolate brownie and Ala mode. Such a great experience and so close to home. You have got to try it.

Food was yummy. Server was attentive but not intrusive. I was meeting a friend I had not seen for years. Before we sat down I asked if they wanted us to avoid a four top as we would likely be there longer than just the time to eat. The owner was lovely and said no problem and take a comfortable spot. We sat and enjoyed our food and catching up for a few hours.

Quality restaurant. Seems to be a well oiled machine with a tried and true formula for success. Clean and well prepared food, good staff, and a casual atmosphere offer a relaxed environment suitable to enjoy a nice meal. Personally I value when a restaurant like the Local sticks to the "basics" of what works. They aren't trying to be 5 star. The feeling I get is they are trying to offer a tasty yet pleasant experience at an affordable price. They are doing this rather well. Every restaurant has weaknesses. Here it's obvious that the leadership care. Overall The Local is an excellent example of executing the fundamentals of what a restaurant should be. I dislike 5 star rating systems. If a 7 out of 10 is considered a nice pleasant experience across the board. I would give The Local a 8 for achieving high marks in many areas that highlight understanding of the restaurant business. Good work.

Awesome happy hour menu and fantastic service everytime! The sliders are the best in town. The patio is great when the weather is nice and they allow dogs (and even make pup ice cream sometimes).

The food was good. However, the reason for the two stars is, my two friends and I came in around 4:30. We had appetizers, main courses, dessert and wine. As we were sitting enjoying the last of our wine, we were asked by the waiter they needed our table because there was a line to get in. How rude!! Their policy is first come first serve. So why we were asked to leave. We weren't just lingering; we were finishing our wine and we paid and left a good tip. In fact, there were other tables of people that were there before us that were sitting there talking. It just turned the nice experience sour. I was planning to bring more friends and family to this place until this happened. 1/27/2023

I was looking around this area for a spot with patio heaters to have an evening board meeting. I called ahead and The Local was so hospitable. The host set up a table and heaters just for us, and the server joyfully checked in on us regularly. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, salad, and a pretzel while we got down to business.

One of my favorite places for lunch. The Turkey and Brie sandwich was delicious, so was the broccoli cheese soup. Excellent service, too.
