obsessed with this place, both the atmosphere and the coffee!! as a boise native, this is one of my fav coffee shops here!! everyone is friendly and the food and drinks are hard to beat.
So much potential. But falling so far. We got the breakfast sandwich and the almond croissant. The breakfast sandwich was extremely hit and miss, the combination of fig with bacon and egg was amazing, but the fact that it looked like they gave half an egg in this sandwich made finding bits of egg a real challenge. Then there was the seasoning, when you got some it was rock salt which is a bit much to have in bites of a small sandwich. Then the croissant had a very nice almond spread but was encased in what seemed like a week old shell, almost chipped a tooth.
Consistently good coffee with friendly staff
Great coffee place! Wonderful people, chill and clean decor, with an artistic flash, and really spacious! I got a cappuccino, and I have to say, it was the best one I had in Boise. Their beans are also roasted here in Boise, and it showed! 10/10 cappuccino, not bitter at all, beautifully well rounded flavor, and the flavor of the coffee was not hurt by the addition of the milk at all! Well done Form & Function! Also went to the botanical gardens and tried the cold brew from the F&F bus! So cool!
Great space with comfortable seats, very nice staff. We ordered black coffee, chocolate croissant, and a chia seed pudding. We will be back.
TLDR: good coffee. Nothing to write home about. I took a small group of college students in here and we were all satisfied. It was an average cappuccino, and all the other drinks seemed to be enjoyed. Nice small space with a second floor. Some really unique menu items hat I would try if I’m ever back there.
One of my favorite coffee houses and within walking distance of where I live.
You know when you think about snooty coffee places where they judge you heavily and aren’t very nice? This is one of those places. I read the reviews before going but hoping they were wrong, they weren’t. I walked in the door and stood at the counter and the cashier just looked at me without saying anything, she was cold and uncaring. I ordered and sat down but just felt so uncomfortable in the space. I left with my coffee. The coffee it’s self was okay but I left disappointed so I wouldn’t say it’s worth the discomfort. Bond and bevel as well as push and pour are better options for anyone looking and they have a warm environment!
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Boise! The espresso is superb, the location is convenient, and the owner, Kate, is the sweetest! Boise is so lucky to have Form + Function and I'm just hoping they expand to So Meridian/So Boise 😜🤞🏽
They have great coffee to enjoy with great company!! This cafe is very cute and always a good option!
Good coffee, love the space. It can get a little hectic and crowded, though, which makes wait times longer. So don't be in a rush if you stop in.
I had the cappuccino. No big or small sizes to select for your coffee. Just a perfect taste of coffee with nice foam decor on top. Good place to study and calm your mind as well. They have two floors that provides more seating areas.
Exceptional coffee. Noticably different from chain coffee. Really fun atmosphere.
Nice chai and good pastries. You can lay on the bench outside if you’re hungover while you wait for your things.
The baristas are all friendly and are educated in their craft. My latte is never over-steamed and has never been off. The pastries are delicious and fresh. It's a new go-to place for me. The only thing I can say is for the digital nomads out there, check the internet speeds. Sometimes it can be a little slow (1-3 mbps). Overall is 10 out of 10!!
First time here and likely won't be back. I ordered a London Fog from the woman behind the counter. It was missing the vanilla syrup so I mentioned it to her. She told me that I should have told her I wanted syrup when I placed my order because it's an extra charge. I replied that I ordered a London Fog which is an Earl Grey tea w/ steamed milk and vanilla syrup. She again repeated that next time I need to tell them in advance. I just looked at her like "is this for real?" I can't even fathom having that attitude toward a pleasant customer even if you are correct. But the fact that she didn't even understand that the London Fog comes WITH vanilla syrup... smh.
Very nice place! Love the location, definitely a great place to network and mingle. Not so much for studying or if you need quite time.
Had to write a review just to show off this cute little pumpkin! I ordered the “sidecar” and it was very tasty coffee. Lots of seating too.
Avocado toast was v yummers 🙂 And chai is beautiful 😩
Beautiful ambience and good coffee. Considering the reputation of the coffee shop, I would have liked to see some crema on my Americano, a mug that wasn't plastic and it was a little too watery for my taste. To be fair, the plastic mug was well designed and definitely trendy. The coffee tasted great and it was a nice place to relax. Good music, too. My wife's sage infused latte was pretty stellar as well.
