Nice coffee shop, good people.
Nice place to run the clock down while we were waiting for an appointment. Unfortunately they didn't have any low-carb food selections.
My husband and I have been absolute regulars here for years. When I say we are there every day, we are. We’ve loved the coffee, the food and the staff. But today this changes. And it truly makes me sad. We just got a 3 lb cavapoo that stays in a bag. I have depression so he’s in the process of being a service dog, not just an emotional support dog. I brought him in there to grab a burrito quickly. It’s not like at this size and age, I can just leave him in the car or chained up outside. He’s a $6000 tiny baby so that won’t be happening! The baristas were very nice and asking to pet him. They even let me order and pay for food. Then the manager who is usually nice very rudely and accusatorially said he has to go, as if I knew the policy. I didn’t. When I explained he’s a service dog or being trained for one, she went into some explanation of that they don’t allow them for emotional support. What kind of place is this? I wanted to return my food since they let me spend money before telling me this. I could understand if he was running around, barking or even over 5 lbs. but he’s a tiny baby in a bag who is silent. There are many coffee shops that are dog friendly in Boise and would especially allow him in this situation including Java, the Alchemist, Starbucks and moxie Java. I’m truly sad that I can’t go in there any more as it’s been a good run.
Walk in or drive through, coffee was good. Have alternatives to dairy. Gift items, cards, stickers and some food items.
Went for my mother-in-law's birthday. Great service and very accommodating.
Very friendly staff. Great coffee and food. Had the ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. I ate it too fast to take a picture of it.
My mom turned 90 this weekend. All she wanted was coffee and a pastry. We had heard good things about the Coffee Mill and we were not disappointed. Coffee was excellent, service was stellar, and ... well, my mom brought her own cake 🤣but the pastry options looked yummie. Best part - mom said it was her best bday in recent memory. LOVED IT!!
I stopped for a pick-me-up mid afternoon while visiting friends. The latte was tasty as was the chocolate croissant. Looked like a great place to hang w friends or get work done. They even had a cozy fireplace. The staff was friendly.
Tried one of the breakfast burritos and it was delicious! The location has a great vibe and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back soon.
Good coffee but nothing special for the price. Same coffee can be done at home with a normal dripping coffee machine.
The coffee mill is a cute little place along the greenbelt, with friendly staff, but dont expect to get the correct order, especially with the afternoon staff. It seems that a lot of them dont listen or take the time to get details right. If you order a dry cappuccino with three sugars, you will probably get a wet cappuccino with no sugars. If you want a half sweet mocha, the mocha will probably still be fully sweet. This happens everytime i stop by, without fail (problem only with PM staff, the AM staff is always on top of everything). Afternoon staff no longer chats with customers as much as they used to just a few months ago. Besides that though, its a nice place to hang out in and get some work done. Fix the afternoon atmosphere, and make sure to make drinks correctly, and the coffee mill is the perfect place to go !
The coffee here has a different flavor, nutty maybe? I usually just take cream because I really enjoy the coffee for its own sake. Not so much here. Went back and asked for flavoring and then it was ok. We went in winter. The walls are cement and the ceilings are high. The fireplace gave no heat. I never really got warm. I don't blame them. There is no way the space could be heated. I bet it's lovely in the summer!
Really good coffee , the ladies working there were so nice !
The Coffee Mill has a great, friendly staff and provides quality mixed drinks (mochas, lattes, etc.) and drip coffee, and baked goods and cafe/deli foods from local providers. I also enjoy the coffee shop's tall ceilings and industrial atmosphere. The interior offers a few couches, a large high top, two and four person tables, and a bar against the outer windows, and outdoor seating. All-in-all, a great local place that provides excellent food and service, and is a nice break from the chains.
I gave them two tries. The first time their drip coffee was lousy and room temperature and I paid extra to put a shot of espresso in it hoping that would add some flavor to the coffee. It didn't help - the drink was absolutely flavorless. My boyfriend lives right next to them, in this coffee desert area of town, and so, craving a warm, cozy and creamy beverage I tried again. Ugh. The dark roast had just been brewed and literally tasted like nothing. I was also wooed by cinnamon roll. The thing was so dense and hard that a steak knife had a time cutting through it and even the center of the roll had dry, dense, seemingly stale edges. Just such an $11 disappointment. 😔
Coffee Mill is very well staffed so no waiting for coffee, the staff is very friendly.
I've been coming here for several years now and am a loyal customer for many reasons. First and foremost, their coffee and food are excellent. Secondly is the staff. Ok, maybe that should actually be first! They are warm, friendly, fun to chat with, they get to know their regulars and their orders, they love dogs, and really help to get your day going right with a smile. The staff cares about their customers and it shows. This is why they are consistently top rated in online reviews. Can't go wrong here.
Great coffee shop in Boise, Idaho. Great selection of specialty coffees, pastries and breakfast items
Had a meeting there with friends, very comfortable. Coffee was great, plenty of choices for food.
Delicious coffee. Cute neighborhood hub.
